The only positive side is the location at Grand Central. For the rest, forget it…. I have stayed there for 10 days: - no or very poor day light in the room. - housekeeping in the room is bad: not cleaned properly, for example shower not cleaned at all, carpet not vacuumed. Totally inconsistent from one day to another (when you are lucky you have shampoo otherwise wait for your next day try). - Careful with a 39 dollars service fee charged on top of the room rate every day. In return the hotel offers you a 15 dollars credit at their over over priced daily store. - want to leave your luggage with the concierge before leaving: pay 3dollars per piece. So, not a pleasant experiene….
I really enjoy my stay at the great location of this hotel. Its walking distance to all the main attractions that New York has to offer. The food hall in Grand Central Station is a few feet away and its great to be able to use the subway so easily too. The hotel had just opened this week but everything was great!
Great location. Rooms were overall clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful in all our issues and questions. When an issue arose concerning our room, we were able to switch room with no hassle ( and a better one!). However given the location, be prepared to hear the traffic/honking but that’s expected in NYC !! Would go back again!
Hyatt Grand Central is definitely first class. Its location next to Grand Central Station was perfect. Excellent customer service and accommodations. Next trip to New York City will likely result in a return stay at the Hyatt Grand.
Great Hotel; Great location; No complaints other than the restaurant and bar not being open. Hotel was very clean. Great staff. Very helpful throughout the 5 day visit. Room was cleaned everyday and any extra items that were needed were delivered very promptly. It's the only place I stay when I come to NYC.
We picked this hotel because of the parking and the location. Staff was wonderful at every interaction. Unfortunately unable to fix the clogged drain in the shower which was a mild inconvenience, but the location for our purpose was unbeatable and the staff was top notch.
Great hotel great location! Right next to Grand Central, which made it super easy to travel throughout the city! Everyone we encountered in the hotel was amazing and very helpful! Kudos to the housekeeping team for great service!!!
The room was fine. It was clean and quiet. But no washcloth and three calls to housekeeping and it still wasn’t delivered 30 minutes later. Cleaning service after night one resulted in only 2 towels rather than the 3 we started with, and we needed 3 as our daughter was traveling with my wife and I. The $15 credit in their market was only honored once and a call questioning after the fact made no difference. And honestly all it does is lower the daily “resort fee” to $25 a day instead of $40. With so many choices, this certainly isn’t worth picking over anything else.
Hyatt Grand Central is ideally located for our trip up to the Bronx for graduation, into Times Square for a Broadway show, and down to the West Village to have dinner with family and friends. Train and subway access is easy and convenient.
The room was small and the bathroom was smaller. King bed requested was provided and it was comfortable. Cold water was pouring down from shower light and although I requested that it be addressed, as far as I know, nothing was done to fix it. Hotel had no food service available other than a mini mart in the hotel. There are places nearby for meals and snalcks
