We really enjoyed this location. Great access to the subway (57th street). Easy 20 minute walk to Times Square. The concierge was very helpful.....pointed us to the best food outlets/restaurants and got us tickets to shows. The soup nazi (a la Seinfeld) was nearby. Great choice of restaurants, delis, drugstores, supermarkets. MOMA was a five minute walk. Hotel was a...

First the good- nice staff, decent sized rooms with good showers and comfortable beds, location very convenient but not swamped. What good are these things, however, if you cannot sleep at night? Let me preface with saying the we are regular visitors to NYC, who are familiar with city noise levels. That being said, this trip brought us a nightly...

Dear awcharlotte, Thank you staying with us and providing such a detailed review. I take all guest feedback very seriously. I'm sorry you found the room to be very noisy. Did you address this with the front desk staff? I am sure we would have been able to move you to a higher floor had you done so. If you...

The Blakely is an old queen of NYC accommodation. A bit dark and dated inside but with good bones. The room we had was a good size and the service was excellent. It uses Black Tap for a continental style breakfast venue and it then transforms into a hip burger spot.

Amazing hotel, staff perfect, free breakfast, friendly and all more, we were there very early so left luggage and went for a walk and some shopping - there are places open 24/7 very close, then back for a breakfast even before check in. At 11AM they had one room ready and we did all earlier. Bath wonderful so shower and...

After a busy and hectic day in the city, it's always so wonderful to come "home" to The Blakely Hotel. There is something about the warm and cozy lobby with friendly staff members who call you by name. Edwin, our favorite concierge was extremely helpful and always willing to give advice on activities, restaurants or general tips on the city....

This is the second time that we have stayed at The Blakely and the second time that we have not been disappointed. The staff is friendly and efficient, the rooms are very comfortable, quiet and large by NYC standards. And it is close to pretty much everything in mid-town Manhattan; the theater district, Central Park, upper east and west sides...

I've stayed at the Blakely many times and always for business. The staff is always very welcoming and the hotel offers unique rooms that are spacious and well appointed. I had a separate sitting area from the bedroom which would be great for someone with a family. The bathrooms are good and the showers offer great water pressure. I never...

I made a non refundable reservation through Booking.com for Dec 6th for one night. I was a half block away from the hotel at around 4:15pm when I saw a call on my cell from an unknown number. Moments later I came to the hotel and stood at the front desk waiting for two staffers to complete phone calls from...

The Blakely Hotel is centrally located and filled with attentive staff and well proportioned rooms that you would normally expect to cost a lot more. In an easy 10 minute walk, you could be strolling in Central Park, windowshopping down fifth Avenue or taking on a fabulous show in the theater district. And, if you don't mind going underground, you...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
