Rooms incredibly small. Looks like remodeling is making rooms smaller so they can have more rooms on each floor. No hot water one night. Rooms were not very clean. Have to go sit in exit stairwell to use wifi. At these prices??!! Great location to Time Square

My husband and I along with my son stayed in a suite for 3 nights. On arrival we were offered a complementary upgrade to a signature room behind the lifts on the 21st floor. The noise of the lifts kept me awake although my husband and son slept through it. I asked to be moved the next morning and we... More

I have stayed at the Edison before over 12 years ago and it's just as I remembered it. A 1920s inspired hotel, a little worn in places, but in an excellent location smack bang on the doorstep of Times Square. The staff, from the concierge through reception and housekeeping are friendly. They even tolerated my friend's desire to recreate the... More

We spent six nights here in November. Location was unbeatable, but be prepared for a tiny room. I could barely get down my side of the bed and the air con/ heater was then very close to me and very noisey. The bathroom was very small you couldn't be a large person and be able to move around in here.... More

Hotel in a great location and rooms are of a decent size for the city. Staff very friendly and room was spotless. Hotel in the middle of a major upgrade but did not detract from the stay. Strange though in today's age that free wifi not available

Stayed here a fewweeks ago while the presidential election was being held. The rooms are a little dated , and some of them are quite small. The location is great for seeing New york , just a short walk to the middle of times square { 2 mins}. Good hotel bar with great friendly staff , especially chris, who makes... More

On the day we arrived we got asked if we wanted to upgrade our room to time square view this that, that it is amazing the view unbelievable - "must have" so we agreed. To our disappointment the view was towards an alley way. Due to the fact that it was an exclusive offer and I could only speak to... More

Excellent hotel and great location, just off Times Square. Great restaurants and bars locally and a short stroll for Broadway shows. Hotel is old but very clean, offering the usual great service which comes natural to the USA.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
