This is a great deal. We wanted to stay in a place with good location and good price. As New York is a expensive city, this place fit our expectation. It is so close to Central Park. It is a very simple Hotel where you can only sleep! With horrible breakfast. Again, don't expect more than a place to sleep...

I stayed here after my original plans to stay with friends fell through for a wedding in Central Park. The hotel was not bad, rooms were a bit dated (80's looking), but clean & safe. The area around it is far more upscale than the hotel itself. I'd definitely stay again.

This hotel is basic, but it is clean and safe. At the price, for NYC, anyway, it's a good option. There is no real lobby, but the reception is nice enough. The room was small, the sheets clean, but the blankets allergenic. The bathroom was ok, at least it was inside the room. NYC is another universe for hotels, this...

New York City – Hotel Review – Park Savoy Hotel Located downtown New York City. One block from Central Park for the average price of hotels in this city, this was a bargain. Good hotel if all you need is a clean room and good location. Quality of room was good, large size and clean. No Balconey or view. Only...

All I can say is you get what you pay for! Overall the room was clean, but looked nothing like the picture on the website. Perhaps they have not finished renovating all of the rooms. The small window a/c cooled the bed directly in front of it but left the air in the rest of the room stagnant. Because the...

Our first visit to New York, so we were looking forward to seeing the sights and spending minimal time in the hotel. Generally it was a clean and functional hotel, however we didn't feel like the staff were willing to go out of their way to help or be friendly. Luckily we didn't spend too much time in the hotel...

The location is very good, very small bedroom, shower broken, the staff of the reception is poorly educated, they neither help nor with information about the city, they are superb and arrogant.

the place was a bit small but with central park being close it made up for the room size. it is true about the water temp, it has a mind of it's own. make sure you plan on a fast shower. my advice , if your a big guy or gal think twice about this hotel. my wife and son...

Great location, close to Central Park and a subway station, with a 24 hour grocer nearby. Cheaper than many other hotels in NYC I suppose. Teeny tiny room, which was okay as the SO and I expected. We ended up on the 9th floor, with an elevator that took forever, but got our exercise at times walking up and down...

Although i was satisfied with the room and the price 3 years ago, this year (2008) was a real disappointment. The price was much higher, the room worse. It was not clean, I am even not sure if I did get clean towels from the beginning. They smelled not clean and had many stains. The toilet was constantly water pumping,...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
