Stayed here on business travel and did. It choose the hotel. The rooms in the hotel are tired and long in need of updating. The BAD: old style furnishings, old carpet, window air conditioning, peeling paint, slow elevators, street noise. The GOOD: bed was very...More
I'm not sure if my expectations were just higher or if maybe we simply got what we paid for, but for what we paid I expected better. The hotel is out dated and old looking. There are 2 elevators and one of them was out...More
Good location close to central park but old, tired rooms, slow elevator, and undescrivably noisy airconditioner. Could not sleep!
Friendly staff, but they did not clean rooms properly or fill up such as soap and shampoo.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

There is a little grocery store just across the road. We bought breakfast supplies the night before, (it's open very late, not sure if it's 24 hours though) and had breakfast in our room. We had a fridge and microwave in our room, so milk and cereal, and hot breakfast burritos were a cheap way to eat.
