Delivery trucks roaring past our street side room since 2:30am kept us awake. If you need to stay here, ask for room off the street. Otherwise, no sleep. What a waste of our money and the day ahead. ☹️

I booked 3 rooms for a party of 6 travelers. We decided to stay in New York a few days before catching our flight to Ireland. This hotel is in walking distance to everything we wanted to do including the subway station that we used to get around the city. Central Park is around the corner and Times Square, Carnegie...

This is an older hotel. It is the basics, but clean and roomy. The bathroom of our room gave me memories of the seventies with golden wheat on the tile. Very clean, gleaming tile that I was not afraid to walk on! The room was clean, the bedding was nice and clean, and we felt very secure in the hotel....

The Salisbury Hotel in NYC is definitely in a central spot for access to all the sights NYC has to offer! The rooms are out dated unfortunately. The rooms are similar to walking into a time warp From 1975. Pink bathtubs etc.. lol At one point I thought I might even run into Peter Brady! Haha The bonus was that...

I was embarrassed to even check-inn here. I don't think I did. I was here for one night on a bachelor party. I'll start with the negative and end with the positive. Take a look at the pictures. In-case they don't upload, i'll explain. I wanted coffee and was going to use the coffee maker with coffee provided in the...

I've stayed here before, so I knew what to expect. The 1970's bathroom in your parents basement is in your room. But if you know that going in - just go with it. The rooms are ENORMOUS by NYC standards. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location and is always reasonably priced. It's noisy...

The hotel was in a good location and rooms were spacious but it was a bit outdated. There was one person working the front desk with a line of people waiting to check in, although he remained very pleasant. The room was nice for the price we paid.

Good position and close to 2 metro stations. I've stayed here on numerous occasions but this was somewhat disappointing. The room was quite small compared with other rooms in this hotel and did not have a kitchen area. Also they have stopped providing breakfast requiring a trip outside. Fortunately café Europa do a good breakfast. Bathrooms are old fashioned and...

The location of this hotel cannot be beat, I will give it that. I've stayed in many a tourist-class hotel but this place was a new low. The mini-fridge leaked water that kept a portion of the carpet in a state of perpetual sogginess. The electrical wires coming out of the wall were loose and looked to be unsafe. Sad,...

Large rooms, super comfortable and close to Central Park and subway lines. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. It's not all shiny and new like the more expensive hotels. We found it relaxing and will stay here again next time.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
