A modest hotel but on a good location.
Rooms are small and give the feeling of old rooms and can not be considered modern.
Bathrooms are just basic .
The location is perfect and staff is courteous.
Limited food options.

The best location right near Central Park....museums. ...restaurants. ... subway......super affordable too. windows open too a bit I like fresh air. ..nice fridge and coffee pot in room. .....The queen beds...More
The room we were given was very large. It was actually a suite, so that was nice; however, the furniture and paint are old and dingy. The wet bar sink was a nice feature, but it did not work. It was not attached to a...More
This hotel has large rooms, but the place definitely needs some rehab work. For example, the grouting in the shower/tub is in bad shape, the couch sagged, and the window ac in one of the rooms was not very effective. Also, they charge for WIFI....More
Rooms are large by New York standards. The hotel is fairly old, but the rooms are well kept, and the staff is infallibly helpful. It's just a few blocks from Whole Foods at Columbus Circle, is right at Lincoln Center and the Russian Tea Room,...More

United States > New York > New York City > Midtown / Manhattan
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Hi - I don't remember specifically; however, I do know it was a charge we did not feel was justified and therefore, we did not use our wifi at the hotel. It was in teh $20-$25 range and it was a PER DEVICE charge, not per room. We went to a Starbucks close by when we needed it. We have 4 children, 2 of whom are teenagers and they LOVE their wifi, however, they did not complain about this once, probably because we were out so much. If I were traveling for business and had work to do, this might be a concern for me. For us, it wasn't an issue. Hope that helps.
