Great location in the heart of Manhattan. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Beds were comfortable with fresh bedding and pillows. I highly recommend this hotel and wouldn't stay anywhere else - especially if you are looking to get the most out of downtown Manhattan :-)

Just did an overnighter since I was seeing a show at Carnegie Hall. First time I've stayed here since it changed from A Holiday Inn. The location was perfect, 2 blocks from the Hall. Every member of the staff I came into contact with was friendly and helpful. The room was standard, comfortable enough though I DID have to open...

I booked on hotels.com and it was the Holiday Inn which says "permanently closed" when you pull it up on a map. That was quite confusing arranging transportation. The hotel itself is old and outdated, especially the hallways, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. All the staff was fantastic and you can't beat the price for the location. I...

Hello Beth W, Thank you for sharing your comments with us. I apologize for the confusion. We were a Holiday Inn for 20 years and when our contract was up on Feb 14, we decided to go independent so we became The Watson Hotel. I am so pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and found my...

This hotel accommodated for a group of 92 musicians for 3 nights. All the staff, including the owner, were friendly, approachable, and helpful. They even stored all our luggage the day we were flying out. The owner made time to converse with us and personally make sure we felt welcome and catered to.

(Italian version below) I have stayed in this hotel for three nights. The location is good, just 15 minutes walk to Times Square and 10 to the nearest subway station and Central Park. The common areas (hall, hallways etc.) aren't anyhing special but the rooms are awsome: big, nice and with the most comfy beds. The staff is kind and...

Stayed here for 9 nights in February. For half of the stay had the smell of cigarette smoke coming through our bathroom and making the whole room smell despite being on smoking hotel. Alerted staff on all occasions but always said they could not do anything and wouldn't allow us to change rooms Terrible hotel, wouldn't recommend.

Hello Lauren V, Thank you for sharing your comments. I am so sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay due to another guest smoking. As you stated, we are a non smoking hotel and we do our best to implement the law. Once someone complains about smoking, we try to track down from which room the smoking...

This is the 5th time we have stayed at this hotel. On all occasions we have found the hotel to be clean and reasonable well maintained. It is not new and is getting old but that should not be a big issue due to the great location. It is closed to a number of subway stops and there are plenty...

Hello Geoff3009, I thank you for your kind words. We are grateful for your loyalty. I am so pleased to know that we were able to accommodate your wife's insulin storage. Having a family member that is also insulin dependent, I know how important it is to have it safely stored. We were a Holiday Inn for 20 years, when...

We booked on room on Hot Wire and got a great rate. Hotel is 2 blocks from the subway, and half block from busses. Hotel has 2 towers with different sets of elevators. The elevators are small, only able to accomodate a couple with luggage and maybe one or 2 others. We had booked a king room, but we arrived...

Hello Bri019, Thank you for your very detailed review. I do apologize that the first room was not a complete satisfaction especially with the guest next door smoking in non smoking building. It truly is a shame that people will choose to ignore all the signs posted through out our building and the fact that they don't consider the other...

Until only recently the Watson Hotel was a Holiday Inn. I stayed here for 7 nights while experiencing a week of sightseeing and attending performances at the Metropolitan Opera. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
