My husband and I stayed in room 57 (deluxe w/ 1 queen bed) for 4 nights. We got the MoMA package, which we had to explain in detail at front desk so we could get our free Vip tickets. But once you get those, you avoid lines to enter the museum. The hotel works: check-in was smooth, we were given...

I dont write reviews of Hotels but I have to praise Elysee and its staff for a wonderful evening. I let the staff know I was proposing on the night of my stay and they went above and beyond to make it a special night. Juan, Price and Matt at the front desk left nothing to chance and the room...

We loved our stay at the Élysées. We found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. They told us how to get places and made reservations for us. We were walking distance to many attractions and close to a subway. Our room was a generous size and very nicely decorated. I will be traveling to Paris soon...

I visited the Hotel Elysee two years ago with my mom and sister - we had an excellent stay then. However, my recent visit to the hotel with my five year old son exceeded my expectations - it was my son's first trip to NYC. The hotel was perfect for us and the staff was outstanding. Our room was clean,...

Trip advisor correct on this one. Wonderful little hotel we found for long anniversary weekend. Hotel gave us bottle of Rose and chocolates from marketing department. Thanks! Continental breakfast and hors devour daily included. Nice room to relax and read paper. Room was nice. Big king bed and 2 chairs. Minibars. Only one elevator but never took too long. Front...

Situated in east midtown it is perfectly placed for the shopping of 5th and Madison Avenues as well as the hustle and bustle of Times Square and Broadway and the contrast that Central Park brings. It is further than I thought from the downtown areas but that is me not realising quite how big Manhattan is. As you walk into...

I took my amazing daughter to NYC to see Wicked as her birthday, thanks for being my daughter, thanks for being so awesome treat and we could not have picked a better spot for our stay. The hotel has old world charm, with modern amenities. Very quaint room was generously sized and well appointed. Our requests for additional amenities were...

The most perfect location in all of NYC. I have stayed here before and didn't think it could get better! The staff helped me in ways I needed as I was there on business and had a package mailed to the hotel and needed my bags to stay at the hotel for an extra day. They were incredible, gracious and...

We've just spent two nights at the very charming Hotel Elysee. It's an easy walk from Grand Central and near many restaurants and shopping. The staff is friendly and very helpful whether you're looking for something to do or someplace to dine. Our room was lovely with a smallish, but beautifully appointed bath. All in all, a very nice experience...

great old school hotel in midtown, short walk to broadway, times sq. and 5th ave/park ave shopping, but make sure to ask for a room not facing street as it's VERY noisy. also, no room-service breakfast, just buffet style in communal dining-room.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
