This place really puts large question marks behind the brand Hilton. Rooms are tiny and have very low ceiling which provides a somewhat claustrophic atmosphere. Furniture and appliances are definitely in a sub-standard state of repair. There was even some scribbles in the desk drawer (see pic). A room cleaning is very superficial (large chunks of dust on light switch...

Just back from a 6 Night Stay in this Hotel over New Years. This was a brilliant place to stay. Very Safe 15 Min walk up 42nd Street directly into Times Square. A 5 Minute Walk from Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building. Couldn't recommend enough. Bedrooms were Quite dated for a Hilton Hotel but clean and comfortable which...

My boyfriend, daughter, and I booked this hotel just a few days before the holiday. The hotel is beautiful with a safe, neighborhood location. The valet, conceierge, and housekeeping were all very kind. Would definitely stay again!

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Manhattan East in early December to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Overall, I recommend this place if you're simply looking for a convenient, clean, less-expensive spot in Midtown, to store your luggage and rest your head at night. Don't expect a whole lot more than this, though. My full review is below: THE...

Great room for a family of 5. Double beds were a good size. The hotel was on a great spot to walk to Rockefeller Center and more. The staff was very helpful and the place felt like home. Check out was easy.

This is a great hotel that is near so much in NYC yet it is just slightly far enough as to avoid the craziness of Times Square and 5th Ave. attractions. Very close to Grand Central Station. Loved the restaurants in the area. Very easy to drive to and have your car parked. Would definitely stay at this hotel again....

Typical for an older NYC building. Don't expect A Garden Inn modern experience. Studio queen is perfect for one person with coffee machine. You can hear neighbors and the water heater but not too bad. Very slow front elevators so use the stairs.

A welcome respite east of midtown. Get easy ingress and egress away from the worst of the traffic but walk to everything you need to on 5th avenue, and all the broadway shows and restaurants your heart desires.

Filthy dirty and unkept! Dirtiest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel. Heating/air con stuck on 1 temp. Wifi that doesn't work. Plug that sticks in the bath so you shower standing in your own dirty water. Staff that aren't interested. Positive....guy on the door. Very helpful. Chatty and has all day to talk to you and help with taxis...

Very high value for the dollar. Location only a couple of blocks from Grand Central & the U. N. Great bar across the street Very quiet. Renovation kept charm and turn of the century look and feel. Staff is terrific and friendly. Rooms are larger than average for New York City

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
