Fantastic location close to Grand Central Station. The hotel staff are extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms are furnished to a good standard and the beds comfortable. This Hotel was spotlessly clean, and the rooms were very spacious for New York. I would definitely return when visiting New York again. This Hotel is great for a city break, my only...

This is a real treat! The Sunday brunch features a jazz combo in an intimate setting. The venue seats about 50 people, and the musicians are up close and very personal. Tony Middleton leads the group and sings jazz standards and compositions of his own. The musicians included a pianist and bass player. What a way to enjoy the weekend!

A discreet, professional first class hotel on a relatively quiet street (for New York).Close to all mid-town attractions, but peaceful. Good size rooms for New York, view of Empire State Building and its multicolour lighting,if that is your thing. There is jazz in the lobby bar most nights, but you cannot hear a thing in the room. Clean, well maintained,...

The Kitano has been our hotel-of-choice in NYC since our first stay at least 10 years ago and it will likely remain so in the future. The positive attributes are central to our loyalty and include: a versatile location in Midtown, consistent cleanliness, an attentive and courteous staff, an excellent restaurant on site, Hakubai, and some pretty decent jazz on...

Where to start.... firstly the Kitano is a good hotel... clean, tidy and comfortable. Is it the best hotel in New York? No... But it is in fantastic location for so many of NYC attractions and essential venues to visit, which makes Kitano, a perfect base for your NYC trip. We was able to walk to The Empire State Building,...

My son and I stayed two nights on a last minute price break. We had a room with a view of the Empire State Building. The room was small but worthy of 4 and a half stars. From the moment we walked in the door of the Kitano to the afternoon we left, two days later, our experience was wonderful. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Our suite was amazing and surprisingly intimate. There was virtually no noise. Room service was exemplary and the food very good. We can't wait to go back.

I am a preferred member of Kitano Hotel. Because of this membership, I was able to check in early and was upgraded to a slightly larger room. After getting my keys I headed to my room. Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
