Pros: good location, on East side. Close to lots of things, but far enough away to be quiet. Good size rooms, with kitchen area, sitting area, and huge bed. Couple of good bars in the hotel, not hotel bars, but more upmarket trendy type places. If you don't like trendy, and I don't if not in company, then there are...

Great location to everything in Mid-town. Hotel outside was under construction, but the inside was great. Staff went out of their way to accommodate me checking in early and even upgraded my room. Suite was spacious and very comfortable. Room service was timely and friendly as well. Overall great stay, and I plan on returning to visit for pleasure instead...

We just came off a 4 night stay here with our two kids ages 9 & 6. The room was very well priced for the size. It was huge, plenty of space for my family and we really appreciated that. The location is great, walking to many different places. We did not try Noir but did go to the rooftop...

This is the perfect hotel for families. We booked an executive suite for seven days in February for us and our two boys, 7 and 9. The suite is huge and even though the boys slept in the sofa bed in the living room, there was still plenty of space for us to spread out in the corner window seat,...

Everything was great with the hotel! Nobody was rude, like some of the reviews stated. (Some reviewers need to loosen up a little?) That was my only concern, if any, and the staff was far from it. They were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant Upstairs had incredible food (try the Lemon pancakes). We did room service for dinner and...

We spent a 3-day weekend in NYC, with the Kimberly as headquarters. Location can't be beat. We spent the money for a suite, which was nice to have, but lots of little items in the rooms were worn, not kept up as expected: shower handle fell off, heat didn't control well, sound insulation not great so noisy all night. still,...

Spent 4 nights here while on a mini vacation from Connecticut. The staff was wonderful, very polite and helpful. We booked a one bedroom suite, living room, small kitchen, which was sufficient, however the livingroom was bare and lacked furniture. We spoke with front desk personnel and were told the situation would be resolved with an additional club chair to...

A wonderful experience that started when our room was upgraded to a suite that had every amenity and then some including bathrobes, slippers,an electric shoe polisher, a large clothes closet with lighting. a very comfortable bed that raised at the head and foot with a push of a button and vibrated! Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
