My wife and I stayed at the Kimberly in Feb 2014, for a quick overnight getaway. My folks were in town and agreed to watch the kids. My wife had meetings in New York anyway. I picked the Kimberly because of its central midtown location which made it easy for my wife to get to her meetings. I was very...

I just came back from New York City after staying at the Kimberly hotel for 3 nights. It was a great location, clean hotel and friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Liked that it was a boutique hotel as opposed to one of those big chain ones. You really felt more appreciated there.

The Kimberly Hotel needs renovation, the interior is a bit old. But it is in the center, location is awesome, everything within walking distance. One time you should try PH floor, good view Staff is very helpful and friendly. Next to it I'd recommend Moreno coffee, very good place to drink good coffee in the morning

Checking into the Kimberly was as easy as it gets. The hotel is very clean and the staff the best in NYC. From the moment we arrived we were treated to first class service. It he room was clean and most importantly welcoming and comfortable. We will be back because my wife is in love with the overall service. Great...

I am a meeting planner and often send guests to stay here and always get great feedback from them. I block rooms every year for an event around the corner and have a great working relationship with the staff there and they always take such great care of everyone we send. The Kimberly is a lovely space with lovely staff...

I write this as we are staying here. They totally know how to take care of guests especially on occasion. My name is Kimberly and spent my 50th at the Kimberly on 50th in NYC and they are treating me like royalty! But don't be dismayed that it's only for occasion, been here before and that's why I am back....

This is the fourth time I have stayed here and must apologize for not writing a review years ago. This is the only place we have stayed and we just keep coming back for more. The staff, from the reception personnel to Peter the concierge and not forgetting, Kevin, Greg, José, Ralph, Harry and Silva the bell men, are superb....

I was instructed to book a room at The Kimberly by my upper management, and I was reluctant given the photos posted on their website. It looks a bit outdated to say the least, but this place still has charm. The rates are extraordinary considering the size room you get. The staff is friendly enough, and everything from the common...

Great Location - walked everywhere. Huge rooms by NYC standards. Only downside was the view - (A brick wall). Staff very helpful. Roof bar was great - unfortunately we didn't make the most of it on our short trip.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms and 162 suites ranging from 266 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $30 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
