I would think PATH would be your best bet also - it's 3 blocks (at most) from the World Trade Center where the PATH would put you.

I don't smoke but I am pretty sure I saw no smoking signs posted. There were other guests and they were always smoking outside of the hotel on the sidewalk.

I do remember seeing both a hair dryer and iron in the room. I never used either of them so I don't know how well the hairdryer works. It is all really new and so I am sure it works fine. Hope you enjoy your trip.
