Within the majestic walls of one of New York's most exceptional landmarks a new paradigm for Lower Manhattan is emerging. An architectural gem, hailed for its iconic nine-story atrium and pyramidal skylight, The Beekman unites some of the world's greatest talent, including the sophisticated design of Martin Brudnizki and the culinary cachet of restaurateur and chef Tom Colicchio. Stayed with Amex FHR for business. The location is great and walkable. The room is fine - small but cute, historic. The restaurant is in the middle of the open hotel, so naturally you are drawn to go down for a drink or some food. The restaurant/bar staff really missed the mark in terms of attitude, attentiveness, and general ability to accommodate. We went Saturday and Sunday and finally were able to get a seat on Sunday but no one stopped by the table in 20 mins. I flagged down a waiter, who wouldn’t help me, so I left. On the flip side, from the same restaurant / bar, you can get food and drinks (cocktails from the bar, even) to your room very quickly and reliably. Not sure what’s going on there, but kudos to the room service staff. They were quick, reliable, and upbeat. Lacking the general staff friendless and attentiveness of similar class hotels like Ritz, St Regis, Four Seasons. Customer needs aren’t met reactively, let alone proactively.

Hotel's Favourite
This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in NYC. The service is impeccable. The staff is so friendly and courteous. They really took good care of my family. I lucked out with the weather and made full use of the great patio area with my room. The food is really great here as well. I ate at the roof top deck and seriously it was way better than my experience at French Laundry and for half the price. The day of my departure I had breakfast in the atrium area and it was so tasty. The house made sausage and potatoes served along with it are so good. And a note on their covid protocol it is really good. My family and I felt totally safe. I highly recommend staying here! You will not regret it.

Bad attitudes and a general lack of respect for people staying in hotel. Rooms above the bar/restaurant are very noisy late into the night. The construction in surrounding buildings is all day long with jack hammering.

I think I may have found my favorite hotel in NYC. The most comfortable bed, a view of the Brooklyn bridge, clean linens and bathrooms, great amenities. Breakfast is amazing. A bit of noisy due to construction which isn’t the hotels fault. Friendly staff and great service. So close to the Brooklyn bridge, I went for a mini run for four days. So convenient with nearby subway stations. But the best part is the history of the building… takes you back to the 1800s. Will be back!

The building is gorgeous, the rooms are clean and cleverly decorated, beds are incredibly comfortable, and the every member of the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay extra special. We have been here many times, and we will keep coming back!
