Stayed overnight for a conference. Great find, location, super friendly staff and room was small but very clean and comfortable. The bar in the lobby was convenient for a drink and quick bite. I didn't know this property existed previously but will definitely be back!

Great unexpected little elevated boutique hotel. Cozy lobby bar. Nice space and decor and a really nice updated room. Great vibe in the space and the bartender made a great old fashioned! Only issue I had was there was a $31 facilities fee not included in the room price.

I always look forward to coming to NYC but even more so if I'm able to book a room and stay at Roger. As far as I'm concerned the location is just perfect, for those that like to walk to different interesting sites in the Big Apple,as well as those who because their place of interest is not necessarily within walking distance...

Everything looks nice and clean, but conditioners are very noisy - it's hard to sleep when they work. Rooms are accurate, bathrooms are clean and well equipped. Complimentary tea and coffee is a good touch.

Boutique luxury lifestyle hotel with fantastic location. Lobby is beautifully designed. Great amenities including coffee and tea in the am and water available all day. Director of Operations Yahaira Nunez greeted us and was incredibly helpful checking us in. All front desk agents and housekeeping staff were really nice and engaging. Room décor elegant, super mini bar offerings as well....

The hotel was well situated but I found the rooms to be small with an even smaller bathroom. Hallways are very narrow, a bit tired looking, and elevators are often full and busy so you must wait for them. The hotel lobby is quite quaint, weekday complimentary wine hour as well as morning coffee service are very nice touches. The...

Everyone was friendly we stayed one night and the rooms were clean. I would recommend this hotel to other people. Didn't get a chance to eat there. The hotel is worth the price. The neighborhood isn't to busy and your walking distance from herald square.

The service, the rooms, the lobby bar exceeded my expectations. Will absolutely return to The Roger. The rooms were large, unlike other comparable priced hotels I have stayed. The location is super convenient for travel in and out of Penn Station as well.

We had a really wonderful stay- thank you. Your staff was exceptional beginning with our room upgrade and ending with detailed help about how to best travel to the airport. Loved the vibe of the hotel and the location was great for easy travel to MoMA, 5th Ave, Bryant Park.

The lobby is beautiful as are all of the rooms. The staff was friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The location was amazing for seeing the sites most travelers want to see. Most attractions are a short taxi ride or walk away! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown off Madison Park, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of the Roger’s public spaces is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta. A collaboration of renowned talent has distinguished a transitional hotel that caters to the demands of the modern traveler and local tastemakers alike. The vaulted lobby lounge provides an ideal space for any time of day or occasion, from morning business meetings to lunch with family, or catching up over cocktails with friends. To update the spacious guest rooms, the Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM, whose timeless original design has kept travelers returning year after year. Jaffe’s new rooms are characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building’s unique rooms and inviting terraces. Whether for only a night or a weeks long stay, the Roger is the savvy traveler’s home away from home. ... more   less
