Luxury accommodations and convenient location to broadway theaters and restaurants. Very Comfortable bed and and the room had black out shade option. We enjoyed a nightcap on the St. Cloud rooftop bar, Overlooking time square. Despite a cool January evening we were very comfortable with the outdoor heaters. A wonderful weekend getaway to NYC!
Recently, my husband and I spent a long weekend in NYC. We had the VERY good fortune to stay at the Knickerbocker. It is now the only place I want to stay in Manhattan. The hotel is elegant and understated. The staff clearly understands how to make clients feel that they are the most important part of their business. A special mention to Lucy, who remembered talking with me prior to our arrival and to Joseph who was so friendly and attentive. Just two members of the staff that made me feel more than special.
We have stayed at the Knickerbocker several times and have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and very attentive - always happy to help with any request. We always enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar. The location is perfect - close to fabulous restaurants, theaters, Bryant Park, shops. The bed was very comfortable, the room clean, quiet halls. We won’t stay anywhere else when we visit NYC!
The location was excellent as it was at the heart of Tines Square. The room was clean and very comfortable. The service was excellent. We requested for a kettle in the trim and they were happy to provide one. Would highly recommend this hotel
The Knickerbocker is amazing. It is great value, service and location for the money in Times Square. Everything is modern except the slow elevators, but the staff is great, the rooms comfortable and updated and the Internet wireless free and fast. Highly recommended and a better value than the chain based hotels.
We stayed here for two nights in late December 2022. I would not recommend this property. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with 2 Queen beds. I really wish I took a photo to share on here. It was awful and nothing like the photos online. The room was sparse (I don't even think there was a picture on the wall) and one of the two "windows" was actually curtains across a wall. The other window looked into the office next door. The carpet throughout was very freyed and stained and the bathroom worn. There's no mini bar or coffee and tea facilities. We were so stunned as we had such high expectations of this hotel, especially as we'd paid AUD$1800 per night. The rooftop bar/restaurant has a fabulous terrace, but inside it is very ordinary. It's more like a grubby airline lounge with fed-up staff wandering around trying to fake a smile. The food was average and expensive. We were sat in a rear lounge type area of the restaurant full of families with kids running everywhere. The admin staff just seem tired and fed up and despite sending us an SMS to check that we were OK, didn't seem to have any genuine interest. I'm surprised by all the good reveiws on here, I genuinely am.…
The Knickerbocker was located perfectly in Time Square to all the theatre action and subways for movement around the city. The rooms were spacious and updated with all thing luxury. The special touches of turning the bed down, leaving slippers, and water, were a surprise. We were celebrating our son's 18th birthday (which we mentioned at check-in) and they were sure to leave him a piece of cake in the room!
Outstanding hotel from start to finish. Requested adjoining rooms and they accommodated. Rooms are large for NYC size, stylish, blackout electronic shades, comfortable beds, nice showers. Robes in room. Blowdryer left a bit to be expected (just not powerful). Customer service was A+++++. Everyone we interacted with was impressive. Breakfast was very good. Location was the best. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel.
Pre-COVID the Knickerbocker hotel was my 'hotel of choice' when in New York for business... ...so it was with some trepidation that I returned in November 2022 for the first time since the 2020 lock-down to see what had changed - and whether it would remain central to my business plans. The good news was that the excellent front of house team were still as friendly, courteous and helpful as ever. Lucy on the front desk helped organize the type of room I prefer (one with a bath-tub), as well as a tea kettle for the room, and helped with my business breakfast arrangements. The room I had was, as ever, comfortable, well appointed and spotless - I also always find the beds very comfortable (especially important if you are suffering from jet-lag anyway!). The house keeping staff were super helpful with finding some additional toiletries and short hangers as well. In the Charlie Palmer restaurant I was greeted by Gania who was as friendly, helpful and super efficient as ever. It was great to see other familar faces as well. The one thing that I hoped might have changed in COVID was the height of the tables and chairs in the restaurant. These have always felt about 1cm-2cm out of synch to me :)...but as with the good things at the Hotel, they were also the same as before! It was also good to see the team in Jakes cafe. They seemed pleased to see a returning Brit and they still make an excellent cup of tea and express breakfast (the fruit parfait's are a good way to start the day if you have to leave early). Once again, this was an excellent visit - very efficient wifi (important in a zoom based world) - and super helpful staff with a very comfortable room. Well done to the management for keeping their team (and theefore the 'feel' and culture of the Hotel intact during three tough years. I wil be back again - I hope!…
Stay here. The location is perfect. The coffee shop down stairs is cute with delicious coffee. The check-in process was amazing. I checked in very early, they took my bags because my room wasn’t ready and had the concierge continue to communicate with me all day until it was. The rooftop bar was dreamy. There was another bar inside that was quite nice and quiet but amazing service. The staff at the front door made sure to check keys when unsure about guests. I was so pleased with my stay. Also, I wrote this review with one thing in mind. The hospitality. I called and asked about their online price matching. I had found a better rate that their AI wasn't catching. I called and they gave me the runaround. The front desk couldn't help me, they transferred me to reservations and they couldn’t help me. I was only able to be helped by a manager. So, after I reached out through email (which is the slowest form of communication after USPS) they got back to me. The room had sold out that I was looking for by the time they responded. They accommodated me and made the grueling process of price-matching bearable. Also, they put my room next to the elevators at first, I thought I could handle it but they ended up moving me part way through my stay so I could sleep through the night. It was quiet other than that. Thank you, Knickerbocker, for being clean, safe for a single woman to stay in Manhattan and making my time on the East Coast quite pleasant. …
