We stayed for 4 nights in April 2018. We had paid slightly more for a king size room which we were glad for - the room was very spacious and the bed huge and very comfortable (necessary after long days exploring this wonderful city). The...More
The room I stayed at was very dusty and with holes in the bed sheets. The hotel's location is good but can be noisy as I could hear sirens and traffic. Please ask for a room with a table as there wasn't one in mine...More

Stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed our experience. At the time of our visit (April 2018) there is some scaffolding to the exterior which initially detracts from its appearance but not the service and experience.

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

They started the facilities fee last year. They all have it but you may not notice the fine print, depending on what site you book on. It is paying for the internet, fitness center and unlimited AND long distance calls, so many visitors from out of the country appreciate that. They get a lot of guests from other countries. If your travel agent didn't tell you they should have. Their own site and Expedia and all the others note the facilities fee.
