Hilton Midtown is in the midst of a remodeling project. This is timely because it was tired. I've not stayed in a basic room but other reviews have been poor. We recently stayed in Deluxe level rooms on floor 22 that were fine and the bathroom was up to date. You can hear construction noise above during the day but...

Dear Pat M, Thank you for continuing to choose the New York Hilton Midtown for your travels. It is wonderful to hear that our location worked to your advantage, and you found the ready-made food options at Herb n’ Kitchen convenient. We are in the process of refreshing some of our rooms to meet the needs and preferences of our...

We booked 4 nights. At reception we were told that ours was a very nice room but they were trying hard to upgrade us to a suite. After one night the housekeeper described our room as a single. It had a double bed (maybe queen) and it was small and crowded (there were two of us and we booked a...

This is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have. If this was not already addressed while you were still at the hotel, please do not hesitate to reach out to me...

Went here for a large conference held in the hotel. With more than 5,000 reviews there's not much I'll be able to add. It is a few blocks North of Times Square, so if you are using that as a central visiting spot for Manhattan you'll always be walking a ways. The hotel is a little dated as many are...

It is a nice hotel and breakfast is included. The breakfast is nice too. It is a nice comfortable stay but given the fact that there is a great number of hotels at its level, one should openly say that it has lots of competition too. For short stays (4 days max), it could be one of the choices for...

Have stayed here several times for annual awards dinner. No executive lounge for gold members. This time they were doing room remodeling and started the jackhammers at 10:00 AM - no forewarning of this from front desk. Brutal awakening if you stayed up until 2:30 AM the night before celebrating.

Service is poor, executive floor room is worse than regular motel room. Staff is less than friendly. Manager of this place should be fired. Internet service is very expensive. On second day bathroom supply was not replenished. Overall bad experience.

Concierge - no smile, ever; no welcome. Filthy comfy chair - huge patches of filth not addressed. Managers = inept. Take down my complaint info about dirty room, confusing "valet" parking under construction, no compensation of any sort. Treated like garbage if you bring your own car. Josie, Orville, ?? Hilton Midtown has a fabulous location; close to subway and buses. Close to Rockerfeller Center, MOMA, Carnegie Hall as well as shopping & restaurants. The staff is WONDERFUL but there are too few of them and the check-in lines are often long. The hotel is faded. THe furniture and rugs haven't been changed in at least a decade and are...

This is a very large hotel and inevitably rather impersonal but its prime location and convenience for sight seeing and shopping more than make up for that. It is nice to report that the Executive rooms have been modernised and given a thorough makeover and are now much more attractive. Bathrooms too have benefited with new basins and lavatories. There...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
