I spent five days here and wish I hadn't. I rarely criticize hotels for having small rooms -- that's fairly standard for big cities. This room was so small I could not unfold the suitcase stand and open the door all the way. There was absolutely no space for anything. There was a cafe open for breakfast that had 3 menu options and some stale pastries. Despite signs for the bar in the elevator, the bar was not open the entire week. The common areas were institutionally brightly lit and tacky, while the lighting in the bathroom was not adequate to do make up. I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend it.
I once again took a red eye from San Francisco and again it was so cold in Manhattan Angel was able to check me in at 10 am and was just so professional and friendly. Every time I passed the front desk, not only did he greet me but I was able to get my questions answered. I love the closeness to Penn Station because I take New Jersey Transit from Newark Airport to Manhattan. You are close to so much in the area, and walking is just so convenient. Again being in Manhattan, the room are NYC small but it is clean, and everything you is there. I even forgot my toothbrush, I could have easily walked to Duane Reade but the front desk had one of me. The room had alcohol wipes and it seems like all the precautions were taken for Covid. Thank you Courtyard and thank you Angel.
Greeted by friendly reception staff, our stay was without issues and i'd happily stay again. Room was clean, up to date and serviced daily. Location couldn't get much better... Penn station around the corner, times square a few blocks away and one of the best Bagel cafes on the next street. Don't hesitate to book
Chose this hotel because of its proximity to Penn Station. It was a comfortable stay with an accommodating staff. Our flight arrived early in the morning and they allowed us to check in early at 9AM. Rooms was nice for the price and very clean.
Returned to the Courtyard Times Square West for one night as a Bonvoy Plat. The hotel's location is excellent for Penn Station arrivals and departures, and also very convenient for downtown access using the E trains (the 35th St entrance on 8th Ave opens directly to the WTC bound E platform). The room I was assigned as a Plat seemed smaller than one I had received before as a Gold but it was not a big deal for a one night stay. As other users have pointed out, Shower Gel is not offered by default. The US$10 credit had to be manually adjusted after check out but I did appreciate that the restaurant was able to make me a latte about 10 minutes after the breakfast cut off time. Somewhat oddly the hotel does not offer complimentary water to guests, including elite guests, though the Front Desk comped a bottle from the pantry during my stay. Will return for the convenient location.…
