Ive stayed here about half a dozen times, and it remains my favorite spot in the city. Beyond the convenient location, the service and amenities are beyond compare. Ive never had anything less than an extraordinary stay at this hotel and will continue to use it whenever I have occasion to be in the city.

Classy and bustling lobby bar, nice energy as you come and go. One of the best rooftop bars around midtown. Very friendly and personable front desk and door staff. Park and Quinn is attached to the lobby and connects to 39th street. A great casual bistro/bar for the after work crowd of NYers i.e.; no tourists and you won't feel...

I highly recommend The Refinery hotel in New York. The room was as quiet as a room can be in New York. The rooftop bar, free wifi, free coffee in the morning and glass of wine all added to the experience. Staff are extremely polite and helpful. Also loved the location near Bryant Park.

Very slow at check in. Room Service and Front Desk not focused on customer service. Slow elevators so if you are in a rush to go somewhere, leave 5 extra minutes for the elevators. Room was ok, no frills but wasn't expecting much for the price.

Highly recommend The Refinery. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming staff, beautiful rooms and great restaurant and roof top bar. We are already planning another visit in the Spring.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel...terrific location, funky vibe, well-appointed rooms, very attentive service, and a very good value! Other guests have complained about the noise from the jazz bar but we never noticed this at all...would have loved to try the Rooftop lounge but never got the chance, hopefully next time!

GOOD CHOICE FOR NY TOY FAIR ATTENDANTS. Lovely walk to the Javits in the morning, cool atmosphere in the evening. closed to times square and Empire state Building. Good car service to JFK (only 40 minutes in the rush hour)

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel . The hotel was beautiful and service was great . The location to Penn station was very helpful in traveling to the city. The rooftop restaurant and bar was a great place to have in the hotel for a drink and dinner

The best part about this hotel, other than the amazing rooms, the location, the wonderful smell in the lobby? The people. I have NEVER had bad service when staying at this hotel. I go out of my way to book this hotel, even if not anywhere near where my meetings may be. Can't say enough about this hotel and cannot...

Overall we had a pleasant experience at the Refinery Hotel. The main room and bathroom were both reasonably sized for a NYC hotel. The staff was friendly. The valet (car) averages 1/2 hour, but as they told me that at the outset, I was able to plan accordingly.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
