Initially, I thought that this hotel was very quaint with a hint of modern touches. The hotel actually felt more like a miniature studio apartment since it had a cute kitchenette that has a sink, dishwasher, stove, and a microwave as well as a mini fridge. The hotel is tucked awa

My husband and I stayed at the East Village Hotel for four nights, and we didn't sleep at all...The room faced 1st Avenue, and between traffic, construction, sirens, and party goers, we never got any sleep! The entire time we were there, they never cleaned the bathroom floor, and

This was not an overly positive experience. First room allocated had hairs in the bed. Second room was better although the level of dust on the top of the fridge looked like it had NEVER been pulled out of its space and cleaned.
Ashame as the staff were very helpful. The night re

I go to New York a lot, to drop off my daughter to her mom, I’ve stayed at various hotels in the city.
I truly loved the experience of the East Village Hotel. They email you the keypad code for the entrance and your room, and that’s it, you’re good to go.
No 24 hour staffing, bu

Very close to the city area, the location is perfect! The service person Afrim was very pleasant, and helped me with my luggage up the stairs. The apartment was very clean, and my room provided a nice resting space to rest my weary feet after long walks. All in all, I would defin

Does anyone know is there any self service landuary at the hotel or near the hotel?
Yes there is a self service laundromat diagonally across the road on 1st Avenue. You will probably be able to see it from your bedroom window: I could!

Prepaid Rate - Queen Studio with Kitchenette Free Cancellation until 14/09 $2,288 taxes & fees included Is this pay now or later deal?
Good Morning Tara, That rate would be with TripAdvisor and not directly with our hotel. You are more than welcome to give them a call as to see if the fees are for a pay later deal or pay now deal. Most of our reservations we require a one night room and tax deposit in order to keep your reservation valid. Thank you so much for your interest in us!

is there parking?
The hotel does not have a lot or underground parking of its own. And I do not recall any lots in the immediate area. The East Village is notorious for being a challenging to park in. As much as I really like this property, if you need to park a car every day, this might not be the best choice for you.

"I stayed in room 3 on the first floor. As there is not lift being on the first floor is probably preferred if you have suit cases!"
"All the rooms face out to the street which will be noisy. Get a lower floor if you can't carry your bags up multiple flights of stairs."
"Its easy to get the hotel."
"Request a room on 3rd or 4th floor, and facing 9th Street for a quieter experience - but be mindful that there is no lift :)"
"Great wine bar only about 20 metres down the road!!"
