Nice hotel. Simple but very good. Clean rooms, nice bathroom and near everything. Walking distance to broadway, Bryant Park, metro stations, rockfeller center, central park. It' near everything and with the metro you can go anywhere. The room is smaller then i expect, but in NY you shouldn't spend time in the room. I really recomend. Employees are very toughtfuls.

An excellent hotel for our purpose. Breakfast may of been handy, although a thoroughly good breakfast place just round the corner. The room was clean and just the right size for us. Checkin and ongoing travel advice was excellent.

Not the best hotel in the world that you'll stay in but the location was absolutely perfect Times square was a minute walk at the end of the road. The general manager the guy with the glassess was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that it needed was a sign outside to say this is hotel St James on...

Since when is proximity to Time Square allowance for a hotel to be run-down, antiquated and ignore needed upgrades? From the moment I checked-in I was unimpressed. First, I require handicapped assistance, so when I called from outside the Hotel (or Hostel) asking for an extra pair of hands, the night's front desk manager said no bell boy was available...

We stayed in this hotel from 11th to 18th December. It is situated in an excellent place, walking distance from many attractions and close to the subways. Our room was much bigger than expected and because it was at the back of the hotel we had absolutely no noise at all. The bed was huge and comfortable and the hotel...

I was concerned reading reviews but our stay was wonderful. Our room was a double queen and toward the back at the end of the hall, so probably a bit bigger, and it was one of the cleanest rooms I have ever had; the bathroom was spotlessly clean--some cosmetic painting could be done but all the white tile was perfectly...

The management and front desk staff could not have been more hospitable. They allowed is to check in early and check out late to accommodate our needs. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, theaters, great restaurants and 5th Avenue shopping. I would recommend asking for a room that doesn't face 46th Street. It was...

This hotel was such a cozy and quaint hotel. Nothing fancy but that was the charm...it felt like what old time NY might have been like. The manager was just awesome (I could listen to him talk all day!) and the location was PHENOMENAL! Walking distance from Times Square, 7th avenue. We walked to every show and arrived within 5...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
