The Flatiron District is an ideal Manhattan weekend location and it felt to us that The NoMad Hotel is the ideal spot from which to venture out and an even better place to which to return. Service is thoughtful, attentive and genuine. The bar and restaurant is a hot spot with the locals and so it was a pleasant surprise...

The thing my wife loved about this hotel was its French feel. Beautiful artwork, great doors, clawfoot tub in the bedroom, fabric wall separating the bathroom and living space, cool library to have coffee in. And the same French touch is why it gets 4 and not 5 stars from me: small room, no drawer space, small sink area, no...

Spent one night in NYC staying at The Nomad off a friend's recommendation, and super glad I did: I've finally met my perfect match in hotels. OVERVIEW I'm a sucker for a bit of luxury but often struggle with the impersonal service and/or clinical business conference feel of many large luxury chains. The Nomad manages to bring luxury and boutique...

What a cool hotel - I was fortunate enough to spend a night in one of their suites. The 360 bedroom is awesome, the furnishings classic. I love the historic aspects of it all, I would happily stay there again. Can't beat the Library Lounge and Elephant Bar too

Stayed at the Nomad for a week in May whilst visiting NY and loved the location, tucked away, each of the bar & restaurant areas are fashionably dark & moody, with a very cool vibe. Stayed in a grande room which was spacious but had a lack of storage for a couple staying a week ( 1 closet, no drawers...

I have stayed consistently at The Nomad for about a year. The positives are that the staff is very friendly (the front desk clerk hugs me to welcome me back), the rooms are well appointed, and the location is super convenient. I love going to the Library Bar (for guests only), which not only has a great vibe but awesome...

We visited New York for thanksgiving in 2015. We stayed in the nomad hotel which was lovely but expensive. We had thanksgiving dinner at the hotel and it was delicious. We visited all the usual attraction plus we had a helicopter ride. New York was definitely on my to-do list and I enjoyed it but I wouldn't necessarily go back,...

I stayed here with 8 work colleges on a research trip to New York from the UK. It's a great hotel, the bar by all means is a hot spot for locals & has a great atmosphere. The bar in the library is stunning, the best place I've ever had a business meeting for sure! Breakfast & food is excellent,...

Wonderful stay in the Atelier room for a special occasion! Everything about this hotel is just spectacular. The ambiance is perfect- once you enter the large double doors, as cliched as this sounds, you enter a different world. Beautiful, rich colors adorn the restaurant and the rooms. The attention to detail- from the library room to the awesome hotel bar...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The NoMad Hotel is housed in a turn of the century Beaux-Arts building that has been fully restored to its original grandeur with interiors by French designer Jacques Garcia. The hotel is intended as a fresh take on the classic grand hotels of Europe with a distinct New York sensibility. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Parisian flat of Garcia’s youth. The 168 rooms are residential in feel and decorated in his classic, timeless style. Each room is appointed with hand-selected, richly textured custom-designed furnishings and original artwork. The soaring ceilings throughout the public spaces provide a fine gathering place to enjoy dining, drinking and socializing. ... more   less
