We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a great location. It was very close to the subway. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room size was descent; however the room was a little outdated.
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The views from our room were incredible and comfortable with excellent facilities. Close to subway and 9/11 memorial. Helpful staff and good value. I would recommend, and will stay here again.
Love staying at Hilton hotels but was disappointed with this one. We stayed for one night after deciding last minute to stay one more night before heading home. After having stayed elsewhere in the city for 3 nights at a different Hilton hotel (Embassy Suites by Hilton New York Manhattan Times Square), we were disappointed with this hotel. The exterior and the lobby looks nice, but our room was super dusty and seemed like they hadn’t dusted or really cleaned or been in it since the start of COVID. There was a huge dust bunny next to the bed and side table (I thought it was a mouse at first). The room seemed old and in need of updated furniture because it was banged up and dirty/stained/ripped. Our door looked like someone had previously tried to pry it open with a crowbar or something. I could hear what I’m assuming was the people below us opening and closing their windows and it was so loud, it frightened our 18 month old. There was a mini fridge, but the handle to the door was missing and when you opened the fridge it was destroyed and looked like an old mini bar fridge that charged per item that they decided not to use anymore and instead of replacing or throwing out, just took the handle off assuming nobody would notice. However, we had a corner room and the view was AMAZING! The hotel staff was also very on top of COVID protocols and made sure they followed all the rules and guidelines. Which made it even more odd that our room was so dirty, you’d think they’d be more on top of cleaning the rooms during times like this. I wasn’t going to ask to switch rooms at first because we were only here for one night. But after noticing more and more stains and dust in the room, I called the front desk and asked if we could have a new room. The man I spoke to was so nice and upgraded us to a bigger room with a similar view. He personally came up and delivered our new room keys to us and went in after we had left so he could view the room and tell housekeeping what needed cleaning. The new room was definitely cleaner, but the carpet was still stained and the walls had chunks missing. Again, since we only stayed one night I didn’t want to complain for a second time and we just stayed in the new room. It’s definitely just an older hotel, which is fine! But for the price, and for it being a Hilton, I had been expecting more. I have stayed in Hilton’s more affordable lower end hotels (doubletree, embassy suites, etc.) in NYC that were FAR nicer and more affordable than this one. Overall, I’d rather stay in a different hotel for the price. Definitely won’t be returning here due to the rooms, but the staff was 100% nice and willing to work with us to make sure we were happy. So kudos to them for being awesome at their jobs! …
I felt cheated, I was not informed at the time of my reservation which I did online as well as on the phone, that the hotel would have no services at all including restaurant gym, nothing. That’s the sort of thing that needs to be absolutely clear ahead of time. I had to walk across the street to a deli they have a very basic egg sandwich for breakfast. And of course I was not able to have any other meals at the hotel. In addition, for some reason my bathtub was full of ashes or some kind of soil which I had to rinse before I took a shower. I did not feel like I was at a Hilton, and I am a member.
after arriving to the hotel the lady at the front desk was very blunt and didn’t really talk much. was told there was a $150 fee after inserting my card to be held. room was tiny but the view was great.
