I was very impressed with the hotel, the location was great, the view on the empire state building was beautiful, the room was very clean, staff was extremely friendly (especially Tamon). The only downside was their breakfast, very poor, food was not tasty.. I

We came for Fashion Week and stayed one week in this hotel. It was easy to get in and out of the hotel. It was fairly convenient to the subway, about 2 blocks. It was quiet. If you stay on floor 18 or above you should get a view of rooftops. There were 3 of us sharing the room and...

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend and found several reasons to think this was the right choice of a hotel you'd want to stay when you have a weekend in NYC. First up, its great value for money - the staff including Tamon and others are super friendly, always willing to chit-chat and help with queries on everything...

The Hyatt Place midtown south is well located in Manhattan for both tourists and business travelers. The hotel is a short walk from Penn Station and conveniently located near multiple subway stops and about a 15 minute walk to Times Square. The hotel is cookie cutter Hyatt Place both in the decor and free breakfast offerings. The rooms are reasonably...

I'm not interested in luxury. This place is clean and simple. Very comfortable and somewhat basic. Nothing unique for the good and the bad. Two blocks from the subway station. I had a sofa and a big bed. The closet is a bit small.

I've stayed at the Hyatt Place Manhattan 2 or 3 times before and was here last week. The staff are the best: when the first room we got facing 36th Street was noisy and we couldn't sleep, the desk clerk changed us to a better room in the back of the hotel the next morning, and besides quiet we were...

What a bargain in the centre of Midtown. If I ever come back to NYC I will be staying here - we even had a view of the Empire State from our room. All staff were fantastic all through the stay, even the cleaners.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
