We are a young gay couple, and this hotel was fun. Perfect location close to Times Square. Felt very safe and was clean and the staff were attentive. The decor here is amazing. The room had a window which looked into the courtyard. Inside, one wall was covered in fabric, and the furniture was modern and chic. There are also...

We had a great time with our family of four in NYC! The Out was fantastic and Maria was super helpful and so sweet. She made sure our room was available early so we could check in then head out for city adventures! The room was clean with plenty of linens and nice and quiet, which is much appreciated. The...

We stayed here for 8 days over Christmas in a 1 bed suite, and it was lovely! Communal areas beautiful quirky (though the restaurant wasn't open as being refurbished, it would have been nice to have been told this by the hotel before we arrived, and the bar wasn't open on Christmas Eve either) The staff were chatty and friendly...

The lobby and bar/restaurant are fine. Staff in the restaurant was very friendly and food was good. The room was OK, but the AC/heating was so super loud! You had to turn it of at night or else you wouldn't be able to sleep. My wife got sick the day before we left. She had been throwing up all night,...

I am writing today to express concern of the recent experience at The Out NYC, with hope that the hotel management amend the situation for the following three reasons listed below. First, upon arrival to the Out NYC, a phone call was made to make two spa treatment reservations. The lady who answered the phone was not knowledgeable of the...

I was obsessed with this hotel. I loved the ambience in the lobby, love that there's a bar/restaurant downstairs, and I love the courtyards once you get upstairs. The massage I received at The Spa was SO good and I loved spending time in the hot tub (no one else was there!). The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom...

First and foremost: The Out NYC (formerly The Out Hotel) WAS a gay-owned, gay-catering hotel. It was sold in 2016 to new management and no longer exclusively courts or caters to the LGBT+ community. All that aside, for the premium price the hotel charges, there are better values to be had and better places to stay when in NYC (regardless...

Friendly staff, large rooms and even larger baths Great location. We checked in to our studio room on the 3rd floor and were amazed at the size. We had a corner view overlooking a courtyard, a large sitting area and desk to work at.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
