Chris Ortiz - Most courteous and caring bellman we ever met ! If wasn't for him we would be walking soaked and wet last week ! It was raining at the time we were going out, he quickly and kindly got us 2 big umbrellas to save our site strolling !
My flight was cancelled so I had to take a red-eye to NY. My travel agent informed Park South the day before I arrived that I’d be checking in in the morning but they still gave my room away and cancelled the rest of my reservation. It took multiple phone calls and finally 4 hours later I had a room. Lame.
My family and I recently stayed at the Park South Hotel while visiting NYC to (finally) celebrate my 2020 graduation. Our room was clean, spacious, and private. It provided the perfect place to relax and recharge after enjoying the hustle and bustle of city life (and the hustle and bustle of graduation events). The hotel's shared spaces - including the lobby, lounge, main floor bathrooms, and rooftop - were also all beautiful, and the hotel's location was very central to everything we wanted to visit (Central Park, Washington Square Park, Bryant Park, etc. were all a reasonable walk or quick ride away). What really made the Park South Hotel stand out, however, was its excellent staff. Everyone we met was friendly, engaged, and genuinely eager to help us have the best trip possible. Especially awesome was Chris Ortiz, who was always there to enthusiastically welcome us back to the hotel, help us manage all our luggage (and all my commencement attire), assist us with calling rides and figuring out how best to navigate the city, and just check in and see how we were doing on any given day - even as he was juggling many other things for many other happy guests. Chris and the rest of the staff at the Park South Hotel are excellent at what they do and truly made my family and I feel at home in New York City. We are all excited to visit New York, the Park South Hotel, and all the great people we met there again as soon as possible!…
Easy and quick access out the hotel. Bell hop (chris O) very helpful and very welcoming to guests. The rooms are small (like all NY) but thoughtfully designed. There are numerous great restaurant options in the vicinity. Bagel store next to hotel is convenient.
Excellent hotel, very clean, rooms neat and tidy and well maintained. Rooms are small, as all NYC hotel rooms are. But it was well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The roof top bar was awesome. Didn’t eat there but what an awesome space. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was not much. So many dining options in the neighborhood, it was hard to choose one favorite.
Chris Ortiz the Doorman at the Park South NYC is a tremendous asset to your company. He could easily be a concierge for any hotel establishment. He was so friendly and professional. He is very knowledgeable about the hotel and the NYC area. I really felt in good hands with Chris. He added something extra special and unexpected during our stay. Chris thanks you so much.
Hotel was great, clean, and location was awesome. Cost was super reasonable. Lots of great stuff within walking distance and rooftop bar was great. Special shout out to the bellmen Christopher who was incredibly helpful and nice 🤙 !!!
This hotel kicks ass but not just because of the great location and stellar amenities but because of the STAFF! Everyone is super nice, friendly, just trying to make sure you’re comfortable. Special shout to Christopher Ortiz! Made sure our bags got where they needed and took care w our equipment. Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in New York.
We stayed at Park South for our girls trip and really enjoyed the hotel. We were able to check in early, the bar was great for a drink and the room was surprisingly spacious. Chris the bellman was probably one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He made us feel very welcome! All staff members we ran into were very kind. Would definitely stay here again.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff and excellent room with great location especially with the coffee and bagel place two doors down. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to visiting the rooftop patio when it opens for the season.
