Went to New York for the first time for St Paddy's Day Parade and stayed at this hotel (March 2011). Gorgeous hotel...room pretty tight but luxurious. Great bar downstairs and ideal to people watch! This hotel's in an ideal location and our room overlooked Central Park which was fantastic.

Ritz luxury again, this is our third visit in three years to this hotel and it is fast becoming one of my favourites. The hotel has not changed since my last review and is still as fabulous as ever. The staff though are amazing, quick friendly and efficient, how many other hotels can you go where the doorman remembers your...

This was our third stay at this hotel and as always the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good gluten free options, including maple cinnamon pancakes which were so good I could hardly believe they were gluten free.

We spent a weekend in NYC to visit family and friends. It would be easy to write off the high level of service we received by simply stating: "It's the Ritz, what do you expect?" but it was so much more than that. Pre-trip we were very familiar with the location having stayed before at the New York Athletic Club...

Thank you for your lovely review of the property. I am delighted that you and your wife enjoyed your time away. I am glad that we could pamper you a bit on this visit to the city and I hope that the kids enjoy their stuffed "horsies"..... We hope to see you and the family soon. Thank you for being...

I love staying at this hotel; indeed, have done so six times in the last six years, including being married here in 2012. I've spent a small fortune over these years in this perfect location with views over Central Park. This time round I found the hotel experience less than before and service (with one exception) to be off its...

What an amazing location. The doorman was not at the door when we arrived bug that was quickly forgotten when we met Ender Oz me lek at reception.he was polite and cheerful and chatty and informative. What more could we want? He personally took us to our amazing room and explained how everything worked. The bed was sumptuous and the...

Had afternoon tea here on Friday May 1st for my girlfriends 30th. However we are still searching for the perfect afternoon tea. I thought we would get it here. What we did get, however, was more than adequate. Positives; 1) The quality of the English breakfast tea, 2) The sandwiches, 3) The scones, 4) Good effort made to make the...

The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Close to the theatre, Central Park, Fifth Ave. Some of the rooms are really small, even for NYC. The club floor is very nice. It is on the second floor of the hotel and overlooks Central Park. The service is great, and the food presentations are varied and delicious.

I treated my daughter to a weekend in New York this past weekend, and we can't say enough about the Ritz. It is as luxurious as it should be, and the service was impeccable. The location on Central Park South was super-convenient for our outings, and provided easy access to both midtown and the upper east side. The check-in (unannounced...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
