This hotel from the minute we arrived was nothing short of horrible. Leaking showers, ridiculously loud aircon, windows that won't shut properly in the middle of winter, rude concierge and poor value for money. Better options elsewhere. Location is the only thing in its favour.

Nice hotel with good location. Close to the subway (about 1 minute walk). We arrived before our check-in, and left our bags in storage. The rooms were small, which may bother some, but I found comforting after walking a huge city all day long. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. The wood floors were nice (preferable to carpet... More

The hotel location, ambiance, and decor was great, but my 8th floor room looking over the street was noisy. Maybe this is just New York. A pair of earplugs in the room was all I needed to make this an excellent stay.

The lobby area is nice and spacious but the room situation is the total opposite. I know one cannot expect big rooms in NYC but my gosh, those rooms are tiny and the washrooms are impossible to deal with. I'm a slim frame and I could barely move around the washroom. I literally tripped twice going into the shower because... More

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I went there during the Macy Day parade, besides being overpriced I had no issues till check out. I checked out and paid the overpriced parking and was given no receipt. The gentleman at the front desk called for my car so I went out side to wait for my vehicle. When... More

A lot of nice things about the Hudson -- the location, well-designed lobby, but too many negatives give a strong review. The rooms are tiny, which may not be abnormal for New York, but the bathroom was too small even to turn around or get dressed. And no excuse for the glass shower panel visible from the bedroom -- these... More

Just returned from a week at the Hudson Hotel for our honeymoon. It was one of the cheapest hotels we found, so wasn’t expecting too much from the rooms, but thought it looked like a great location. We were right about the location, really handy for the subway and right next to Central Park and Broadway, but also pleasantly surprised... More

The Hudson hotel in hells kitchen is a bit different to most hotels I've stayed at in the past. First of all the lighting levels in the hotel are quite low making it quite a dark building. Personally, I knew that before going and I think it adds to the atmosphere of the hotel. The staff we encountered were polite... More

Nice location and staff. Only thing is the darkness and unsuitable for sight problem guests. I enjoy their facilities and friendly staff. Location great too. Cosy room too. Depending on how much luggages you take, smiles

If you are into design hotels the Hudson is a must. We stayed for four nights in a suite to celebrate an occasion, and though the hotel in itself is a design classic the room was disappointing. It had all you expected designwise and in size, but old windows kept the room cold and drafty. Noice and smells - the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
