Stayed for nearly a week at The Benjamin and had a truly perfect stay. The bed was the most comfy I've had in many stays elsewhere and the pillow menu is such a unique option. For a longer stay, having a kitchenette is a huge plus! The National continues to be my favorite restaurant in Midtown East- it's in the...

We were disappointed overall in The Benjamin. It started off OK with a free upgrade to a suite (because of our credit card) but it fell short almost immediately. The first item was that Wi-Fi was not included. I can't recall the last time I've had to pay for Wi-Fi, and I am a frequent traveller. We called down to...

A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of midtown. The hotel is beautifully done, has large rooms, and I even had an amazing living room and a small kitchenette! Where do you find that in New York City? The staff is wonderful and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Small cons: since it is in midtown, it can...

Ideally located for museums, Central Park, shops, eateries, and nearby subway gets you everywhere else. Friendly, efficient service and comfortable suite. Asked for a toaster in room and minutes later one appeared with a smile - that's service! My only gripe was the absence of free wi-fi in the rooms (available in lobby only), ought to be a given in...

The Benjamin met all our expectations at a very reasonable price for New York. A short cab ride from Port Authority bus terminal and centrally located as a base to get around the city. Excellent restaurant within the hotel. Room was very high standard.

I stayed at The Benjamin for a night, I arrived early in the morning after a 7 hour flight and our rooms weren't ready, but that wasn't a big problem, the bellman was very helpful and told me that on the third floor I could rest for some time and take a shower if I wanted to. The front desk...

The Benjamin is not your typical big Midtown hotel. I've seen too many of those, you know, a bit worn out, overrun with hords of tourists. None of that at The Benjamin. The staff is super helpful. The rooms are very well maintained and just like you would like to have it at home. The bathroom is a bit small,...

Drawn in by the "pillow menu," I booked a stay at The Benjamin last month. Given its reputation and price point I was expecting quality, but the overall experience surpassed my high expectations. I have stayed in several high-quality Midtown hotels, usually comped by the company I work for-- but none have been quite this great. From the moment I...

This is my second stay in the Benjamin and I chose it because I went with a group of friends and enjoyed the spacious rooms and excellent midtown location. Both of our rooms had a nice refrigerator and minibar area and were tastefully decorated. We heard little traffic but were on the 15th floor. The elevators which were notably slow...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
