Service was second to none. Even before entering the foyer the welcome and attention was unbelievable. We had previously stayed at one of New York City's so called leading established hotels but never again. In future we would only be staying at the Sofitel in this city. Spotlessly clean, quiet and spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Excellent location being...

This was my second stay at this wonderful hotel in midtown Manhattan. I think it deserves 5 stars, not just 4. Like my previous visit, I stayed in a suite on a high floor which was outstanding, very spacious with wonderful views of the Chrysler Building from the bedroom and the GE building (Rockefeller Center) from the living room.I especially...

This hotel offers excellent service, location is exceptional 5th and Madison Avenues to the left and Broadway/Time square to the right. Wonderful cooked breakfast made to order and attentive, willing staff front concierge to restaurant. Free internet access in the Lobby a bonus. I would definitely stay here again

Wonderful hotel. Rooms are beautifully finished and extremely comfortable without being fussy or uncomfortably trendy. Service is amazing. Staff in all departments are polite and gracious. Hotel is in the perfect business and leisure location. Will be my hotel of choice in New York from now on!

Pretty convenient for midtown...almost halfway between Times square and Grand Central. The rooms are fairly compact (usual in New York) but well appointed. The rooms were very clean and kept that way. The hotel foyer is quite chic and reflect a certain French style. The staff are friendly enough and efficient. I would not describe it as as a home...

You can tell the quality of the hotel (no bedbugs), attitude and service were great. This was our second stay and the mid range (for NYC) cost is well with it. A great location for Times Square, Broardway and Fifth Avenue, but also so close to Bryant Park (Christmas Market), Grand Central Station (Christmas Market). Only down side, but very...

We recently stayed for a long weekend winterbreak to the big apple. The hotel (we have stayed many times at the location) is in a great location. Easy access to shopping , restaurants, theatre, etc. but with the advantage of being on a quiet street. Our room (we splurged on a suite) was comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff is...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
