We typically prefer a small boutique hotel, and were a bit reluctant to select this hotel for a special occasion with out of town guests. However we chose it for some more practical reasons, and could not have been more pleased. The suites are a wonderful size, clean, quiet, well-designed and comfortable. We enjoyed a gorgeous partial river view from...

This was our fourth visit to the hotel for our annual trip to NYC. We love being away from the hustle and bustle of mid town but this location still offers a great selection of restaurants nearby. Every time we visit something new has opened. This time the new Westfield shopping centre which is part of the occulus building, you...

The Conrad is tucked away in Battery Park City which is convenient if you want to spend time visiting lower Manhattan or, more likely, doing business in that part of the city. The rooms are quite large by any standard, but particularly large by NYC standards. They are well appointed, with new bathroom fixtures, electric fixtures, etc. The bed was...

I'm to be hyper critical here because Conrad is top end and priced accordingly. If this was $250 a night I'd probably be kinder. But it's not so deserves to be critiqued at its 5 star level Firstly I do like the location and the views were good. My room was very large. I like the toiletries especially mouthwash which...

Having stayed at Conrad hotels in Asia I had a high expectation for what I may find on arrival. The hotel is in a convenient location away from the hustle of midtown. The hotel operates efficiently and the staff are good but it lacks charm. The large open atrium where the check-in desks are sited is rather souless and despite...

After staying at several great Conrad's in Asia I had high expectation to stay at this one in New York; they failed miserably. First, there's no pool, sauna, steam room or business lounge. Next, the breakfast buffet on Sunday had a pretty small selection (some bread, fruits and eggs/omelettes, potatoes but not much more). Finally, after requesting ice we had...

This is one of multiple stays at the Conrad and it continues to be our favorite hotel especially during the warm weather when you can walk along the river without freezing. The rooms are big, the showers are fantastic, the service is wonderful, the front desk is helpful and smiling - I could go on. I only have one complaint....

While the room is huge - it is actually a separate bedroom and a seating area - it is very dark, especially if you face the building of Goldman Sachs just a few meters away. If you want any privacy, you need to have your curtains drawn all the time. Combined with the funky looking but highly impractical central switches,...

My room was nice but I had the Conrad Suite, which I understand to be the equivalent to their "Presidential Suite. Some of the T.V's didn't work, coffee maker said on the first day that it needed to be cleaned and the second day it didn't work at all. Bell man didn't set up luggage on racks, just dropped it...

I stayed one night at the Conrad while with my husband on a business trip. I had been to the Conrad before for drinks (at the roof top Loopy Doopy bar) and enjoyed it's upscale sleek style, but I had never had an overnight stay there. I was very impressed with the service upon check in. The front desk employees...

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
