Yeah, it's like your favourite pair of jeans. Or even chinos. Meaning, the room was comfortable, cozy, but clearly well-worn. Not to say dirty, because it wasn't. There was a old, but visible stain on the carpet, a hole in the lampshade, and half the soap dish in the shower, well, wasn't there. Heck, there was a dead (marijuana) roach...

The Court was perfect for my daughter and me. Good location - near the Grand Central Station and we could walk everywhere we needed to be. We ate at the Hotel restaurant for breakfast . We wished we had a coffee maker in the room.

This hotel is billed as a boutique. It has the larger rooms but the quality doesn't live up to the branding. We had asked for a twin room for our two adult sons. On arrival (separately from us) they were told the hotel didn't have a twin room for them and they had to argue for an "upgrade: to a...

Good value hotel conveniently located near Grand Central station. Nice and helpful staff. Our room was extremely spacious especially for New York City standards. It had a separate living room and large bathroom. The hotel felt a bit out of date though. Furniture in the room was a bit worn and the lounge in the hotel lobby seemed felt more...

My husband and I stayed at The Court St Giles for one night as a little getaway at the city for our anniversary. We took a train ride to the city (Grand Central) and my husband wanted a hotel close by so we would not have to walk very much with our bags. The Court St Giles was PERFECT! The...

Had an awesome time staying at The Court - A St Giles Premier Hotel. After some confusion about my booking, the staff went above and beyond to rectify the problem that was not of their making. We were given a free room upgrade that was absolutely fantastic. The room was large and spacious as was the bathroom. The location was...

We had two standard rooms at the end of the hallway, and had a great view of Empire State Building. The room were pleasant, with a large, nice bed, and plenty of space for suitcases and shopping bags. Th couch was too soft to sit in, but the rest of the room was good. Proper pressure in the shower. There...

We stayed before at the Tuscany - next door sister property which was lovely with some minor drawbacks. See my review on it. St. Giles is a much older building that could use a major renovation. However, an old building has some good things going. The building feels solid and the property is well maintained - everything is functioning well....

This hotel itself is relatively expensive (actually, every hotel in NYC is quite so). Due to a promotion by expedia, the overall price is just over 100$, which is even cheaper than our stay in a youth hostel the next day (the price here is over 200$ without a promotion). The lobby is very small, but very well decorated. We...

There have been a number of mixed reviews for this hotel with the general condition and staff attitude being common issues, but one of the things we were very aware of was the proactive attitude of the manager on this website. Our experience was a very positive one, the staff from beginning to end were polite and very helpful without...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
