I, along with 5 friends, stayed in the Metro Apartments in December 2014 and had an amazing experience. We were in room 11C which was newly renovated (so newly we could fresh paint the first day). There was 2 double beds, closet, dresser, and small...More
This is my home away from home when I visit my beloved New York City. Right on Hell's Kitchen, few blocks away from Madison Square and all the boiling action. This place is tasteful, very clean, quiet, roomy and updated. Great management and parking garage...More
The room was clean and big enough for us (4 people) but what we didn't like is that there was no room housekeeping for the two nights we stayed there the beds were not done and they didn't change the towels and when I called...More

For Manhattan, this was a bargain at $307 for two on a Friday night in early December. The room was very plain but adequate and clean. As other reviewers have noted, the noise coming from outside is a big issue. We were on the 6th...More
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Does anyone take travelers cheques these days and why would you want to use them in a place like New York when it is cheaper to take cash out of the hole in the wall?? I can understand carrying cheques when visiting the third world but not in the US. The hotel has a cash machine in the lobby, use a card - cheaper and safer.
