I, along with 5 friends, stayed in the Metro Apartments in December 2014 and had an amazing experience. We were in room 11C which was newly renovated (so newly we could fresh paint the first day). There was 2 double beds, closet, dresser, and small balcony in the bedroom; small table and chairs, microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, dishes, and... More

This is my home away from home when I visit my beloved New York City. Right on Hell's Kitchen, few blocks away from Madison Square and all the boiling action. This place is tasteful, very clean, quiet, roomy and updated. Great management and parking garage right across the street. Always go for one of the lofts. Laundry room is on... More

The room was clean and big enough for us (4 people) but what we didn't like is that there was no room housekeeping for the two nights we stayed there the beds were not done and they didn't change the towels and when I called to complain about it they told me "if you want clean towels you have to... We booked this in April for a December Girls Weekend. After reading the reviews, we called to request (and received) a higher floor with a renovated room. We were in 12B. Very nice room, most of the comforts 6 ladies need. We had two queen beds, a rollaway and a couch. Even with just one bathroom, we managed quite well.... More

For Manhattan, this was a bargain at $307 for two on a Friday night in early December. The room was very plain but adequate and clean. As other reviewers have noted, the noise coming from outside is a big issue. We were on the 6th floor facing 41st St. The sirens and traffic clamoring by is horrific because of its... More

We were attracted to the general area. There are many restaurants and shops near and the location is walkable to the Theatre district without being in the heart of busy Times Square. We were disappointed to learn the this property is situated right next to busy convergence of on and off ramps that serve port authority bus terminal. This block... More

After staying at the Metro apartments for a girlie weekend in the Big Apple, I was really impressed with our choice of accommodation. It was a fully self contained apartment, with two double bedrooms, kitchenette and a relaxing living space. The location was spot on, walking distance from the bus station and located in mid Manhatten, with all the main... More

By booking a deluxe studio, we were on 9th floor with a view of the everpassing buses below...but the double glazed windows meant we could sleep soundly...which wasn't the case with our mates who were on 3rd floor in a normal studio, with a patio onto the street below, and suffered dreadful road noise and actually didn't have a modernised... This Hotel is near the Broadway shows - I went to five whilst staying there. All were within a 15 minute walk and most much closer. The unit had a small kitchen which was well equipped. It also had a small balcony. It was clean and comfortable. It has a coin operated laundry in which all the machines worked and... More

The service was friendly. The location was great and very close (within walking distance with luggage) to the bus station. Easy to catch a cab just a block over. Quiet at night. My only complaint is that our online booking said we booked a room with two double beds, however when we got there it was just one queen bed... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
