Excellent base for a trip to New York. The breakfasts and evening"snacks" are a brilliant bonus. Rooms well equipped, you can cook if you wish and there is a small shop in the reception area. Wonderful views from the roof terrace, lovely for an evening bottle of wine after a long day site seeing! Irish bar next door does lovely...

Just returned from a weekend in NYC and used Starwood points for a free stay at the Element. Location is good if you don't mind Times Square and the staff is very friendly. Rooms are small but ours was very clean and the kitchenette is a great feature. Biggest drawback is the noise of slamming doors. The hotel doors and...

We usually stay in Sheraton, Meridien Parker or W hotel when visiting NYC (3-4 times per year). This time we were last minutes and all our favorites were booked for easter week-end, so we decided to try the Element by Westin in Time square. First, the lobby is not inviting. When we arrived around 10:15, lobby was full, dirty, luggages...

Dear R.Cote, Thank you for staying with Element Hotels. We're sorry to hear your recent stay in Manhattan did not meet your expectations. Element Hotels is very different from our other Starwood brands that you're used to. We have bright, open, nature-inspired spaces. Thanks for your honest feedback and for giving us a try,

Everyone is wonderful the breakfast is an A++++ The whole experience is a plus. Elevators are the only down fall. Our first room was floor 35 and getting up and down was a nightmare, 2nd Room was 4th floor and we only used the stairs for 10 days! No elevator! Saved a lot of time and lots of exercise. Laundry...

Hi, This is my 3rd visit to New York, my daughter and I went for her 16th bday. Elizabeth at the hotel was amazing right from the get go. As right in Times Square she bumped us up a few floors, more quiet and gave us a room with our bed, we had a king booked initially. She also put...

Great price as is in a very good location. Within a walk able distance from times square but far enough away that it isn't noisy.Has everything and more that you need; comfy bed, huge shower, desk, tv, kitchenette etc. However, our main issue we faced was breakfast. We went at different times every day and always experienced the same problem...

We stayed here for 5 nights with our son. The hotel is very busy and yes the elevators are a problem. However the location and the amenities (free wifi , free breakfast) cannot be beat. We even enjoyed the rooftop terrace with lunch from Shake Shack one day!

We stayed there for a sightseeing trip to New York City. The hotel is great, located only 10 min of walking from Times Square... and only some minutes of walking from Penn station (airport link). The rooftop terrace is a lovely place with a nice view at the way much larger buildings in the area. Staff is very friendly... breakfast...

This is a very busy tourist “class” hotel so it was extremely busy and crowded during check in (and check out). Our rates included breakfast which was more or less a forgettable small buffet selection with cereals, some “fresh?” fruits, bagels and hot soggy “burger style” turkey or ham sandwiches. Also because they have not got a proper restaurant, seating...

Stayed for 5 nights as a family of four. Location very central and convenient. Close to the train station and the subway, as well as Times Square. Not located on the most attractive street, but not unsafe by any means. It's Manhattan, and space is at a premium, so don't expect a spacious lobby, hallways or rooms. However, the hotel...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
