Came here for Valentine's Day weekend and had a good time overall. The King room was nice with a decent view (8 floor). The price was a bit steep but that was expected due to the occasion and long weekend (All Star Weekend + Presidents' Day). I probably wouldn't pay that much again but would love to come back if...

Arrived yesterday at the James for a 3 night stay. My agency messed up the booking and I wasn't in the system. They could not have been more accommodating - found me a room for my whole stay at a lower rate than my agency had quoted. Room is quite small but fine for the city and really well laid...

I stayed at The James Soho on a recent business trip, and had a wonderful experience. The room was beautiful (and large), with comfortable, clean, soft bedding. The bathroom was top-notch, reminded me of the spa at Kohler, in Wisconsin. Complementary coffee and breakfast pastries were delicious, and the hotel's onsite restaurant (David Burke Kitchen) is fantastic. The hotel's location...

What a lovely hotel... rooms aren't huge but the very clever design means they feel roomier than they actually are. Excellent views of the city, nice little treats in the lobby - cheese & wine tasting, afternoon tea ... Did we mention the shower & yummy smelling toiletries? Highly recommended hotel!

We have just returned from 4 night in the James. Perfect location in Soho. We had a corner room on the 8th floor with fab views towards the Freedom Tower. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and arranged what ever we needed without any fuss. The weather was unbelievably cold and all the doormen, but particularly Eric and...

We've stayed at The James a few times and have always found it to be the very highest quality but in a small enough building to feel really special. The restaurant, bar and rooms are all beautiful, and the staff is great, too. Perfect place to stay if the price suits your budget...you won't be disappointed.

Great location in Soho. Very convenient to walk around where the shops are and to get to the subway. While the rooms are very small, they use the space very well. Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
