Pros: The location is fantastic. I loved waking up in the morning and being a few minutes stroll from Bryant Park with of the food/coffee options nearby, as well a super short walking distance to the New York Public Library and shopping on 5th avenue. The room and bathroom were immaculate. Everything was modern, new, and pristine, and the beds were comfortable. I booked a double room and had 2 queen beds and quite a large room by NYC standards. The con: The street noise was unbearable. No one in my room slept. We were on the 8th floor, overlooking 39th street, and we heard the sirens, the traffic, the garbage/recycling, dumpsters being dropped that sounded like bombs going off, two men fighting in the street, etc. There was zero soundproofing. The beds were very comfortable and I really wish we could have gotten some sleep but I felt like we were trying to sleep in the middle of the street it was so loud. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, IF and only if I could get a room on a higher floor and on the other side of the building where hopefully it is a little quieter. …
Hyatt Centric Midtown 5th Ave is our hotel of choice when we are in NYC for business. It's centrally located and the rooms are spacious (for Manhattan standards), they are clean and comfortable. The entire staff is courteous and acclimating when possible.
Pros: Clean, with new linen and towels, ample of soap and shampoo, quiet at night, free wifi. Cons: procey ($500/night) , small room, no free breakfast and parking. No free water bottles in the room. No other aminities such as swimming pool, Spa, parking garage.
Very clean, well organized, very functional hotel. Excellent staff. Great gym. Lots of quick food nearby. The staff brought a glass to my room in 2 minutes, delivered takeout to my room - it's the little things that count when you're on the road. Definitely recommend for a business traveler. Rooms are small but it's NYC. Wasn't disappointed about that.
Nice, clean hotel that has great location: walking distance to 5th avenue and Madison avenue. The tourist areas are close by- Bryant Park, Ny Public Library, Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Center also. We love Korean food, and Ktown isn’t so far away either. The rooms are not huge but cozy. We had 2 queen beds, a large tv, small closet space, refrigerator and a safe. The bathroom needs more hooks to hang towels. The area is busy but not too loud- although you can hear trucks and such in the mornings. Breakfast was reasonable, omelet, hash, croissant and 2 coffees = $34. The hotel also welcomed us with some prosecco, so that was nice. It rained one time and we were able to use the onsite Rentbrella where we rented umbrellas free for 24 hours. Great spot!…
Locate on 39th St. between 5th Avenue and Madison Ave, this brand new hotel features small rooms (with king size beds), a desk, open closet (no doors to save space, a chair and footstool, large screen TV, safe and mini-fridge, and a spacious bathroom. While the room is the size of a cruise ship cabin, it's efficient and certainly reasonably priced. The bathroom needs a towel bar and a small shelf but maybe they will put it in after reading this review . A rooftop bar is scheduled to open in June so we didn't see that unfortunately. Breakfast is delicious and features everything you could want, with prices reasonable for the area (figure $25 - $30 p,p. for a full breakfast with coffee). Dinner is available and on our last night we took advantage since we didn't want to deal with the rain outside. Food was good, nothing special but hearty and tasty and again, pricing is reasonable. The front desk people were top notch, there to help in every way. Daily cleaning to your specifications are offered, so if you only want towels, and refreshed toiletries, that is what you get; if you want full service, you can get that. Very comfortable hotel for a short stay in the Big Apple. I'm adding this as it's asking me if there is Covid testing on site. I didn't ask, but there are Covid testing sites on every street right now in NYC.…
We were really happy with our stay here. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was a decent size (especially by NYC standards). It's a very new hotel, but not sterile. The location is very convenient--good for tourist visits and likely to be convenient for business travelers. The rates, for a Manhattan hotel, were reasonable. NOTE: The bed was incredibly comfortable. Maybe that's just me--I realize "comfortable" is subjective--but I wished I could have taken the bed home with me. (I couldn't).
We're glad we stayed here. Great location just off Fifth Avenue, within a short distance from Grand Central and even the theater district. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was relatively small, but well designed, and we heard no street noise, so it was nice and quiet. The next time we go to New York, we will check for rooms in this hotel first.
An amazing property located in the heart of midtown. The staff was amazing. Make sure Michael checks you in. His hospitality and attention to detail was incredible. I was genuinely welcomed each time I walked into the hotel. From Housekeeping to the Director of Operations, the staff was the absolute finest.
Loved coordinating and working with the team at the Hyatt! They were so responsive and helpful. It was a clear process booking for a very large group and we had little to no complaints about everyone's stay
