Andaz 5th Ave is usually my go-to hotel in NYC. This time I was slightly disappointed. For a stay of 4 days - on three days there were no refill of the mini-bar. Re-fill would only be available upon request by call. Noise level in the room was higher than I remembered. But overall still a decent stay. The staff was helpful as always.
They will not accommodate a request for early check-in. If you have a car avoid valet parking look somewhere else for a parking garage. The refrigerator had bottled water but I don't know if its complimentary or $5 a bottle. No sign. If you have don't have to stay in this hotel plenty of value options in the city.
Great location. Great service. Overall excellent. Staff were pleasant and cared. Wonderful amenities for globalists. Suite had a terrace overlooking city. Being in the heart of New York City across the street from Bryant park was a huge plus as well.
Andaz experiences remain consistent across the country. The location was ideal and the service was great. it is always a tough pill to swallow on the rate for New York nights stay. Tried to arrive and check in a bit early and were accommodated but the room was a view of the air conditioner compressor.
My first stay here at Andaz 5th Avenue. Rooms are well appointed, location is perfect for short walk to theaters, Bryant Park. Right on 5th avenue for shopping. The staff really make the difference. Everyone truly cares about your comfort, enjoyment, anything they can do to help, with a smile on their face. This is a rare experience unfortunately in these last few year as and I commend the management for hiring and retaining the right people.
Amazing staff. Loved every minute at the Andaz 5th avenue. Beautiful hotel, amazing location with unbelievable staff. As a globalist I was upgraded to a loft suite. Amazing breakfast as well. Highly recommended!
World of Hyatt says no resort fees but this hotel charges a destination fee. These two different fees are confusing and misleading. I was not charged the destination fee since I was using points, but I didn't get any of the benefits either. Why not give the benefits but just waive the fee? This is why I can't recommend it.
This is a wonderful property full of wonderful people who are so helpful and obliging at every turn. The check in was smooth, the rooms are large and spotless, the decor is funky and trendy, the location is central yet quiet. I won't stay anywhere else it was effortless in service and if you have any doubt about where to stay in New York this is the place.
You can't beat the location, room size and service. Don't take a chance somewhere else. This is the spot if you want to be in midtown Manhattan. Walking distance from Time Square, Central Park, Rockefeller center, dinning, etc.
The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean. Was offered late checkout as a Discoverist member. The restaurant on site is pricey but the food is great. Had both breakfast and dinner. Cocktails were the best
