The Nolitan hotel is situated walking distance from SOHO, subway etc. VERY nice restaurants in the neighborhood for breakfast and dinner!! People at the reception desk are very helpful. A nice touch is the free wine and cheese around 17.00h! You meet some of the other guests. We also borrowed their 4 bikes for a whole day, even biked to...

Good location with a simple modern rooms. Ask for upper rooms, because lower rooms are noisy. nice view from the 8th floor were we stayed to Empire state building. No Christmas feeling (no Christmas tree nor carols).

I chose this hotel based on the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor. This place did not disappoint. Rooms are decent size and very clean which is most important. We spent approximately 4 days there and it was well worth it. The staff here is exceptional and rooms are great size. The location was perfect or everything. Will definitely come back again....

Stayed at The Nolitan for 4 nights mid December and I can highly recommend staying here. It was our first visit to NYC and our stay at the hotel added to a fantastic trip. First of all, every member of staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms, although not massive, are ample and spotlessly clean and kitted...

Fantastic people working there. Everyone was professional , helpful and charming. The rooms are average in size but brand new fittings. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7 pm that helped us to mingle with guests and discover new places in NY to adventure in. Even the restaurant was good. I had a very good steak and chips,...

Disclosure: traveling with spouse who is well known architect and designer making her very discriminating when it comes to the overall design and experience. Since this hotel is still relatively new, the prices are quite reasonable for what you get. The Nolitan is a design hotel. Rooms are a clean modern design but warm using a combination of wood (floors),...

We had a great time at The Nolitan. Best location to explore SOHO, NOLITA and to cross the Williamsburg bridge to Brooklyn. Surrounded by great restaurants, bars and shops. Very stylish deco, lobby and rooms. The staff is very helpful and more than happy to lend you an umbrella on a rainy day.

This is a terrific little hotel in the heart of lower Manhattan. We stayed in an 8th floor cityscape king room during the week of Thanksgiving, and the view was incredible. The rooftop terrace offers gorgeous views of uptown and downtown. I would like to stay there again during warmer weather and enjoy it more. We really loved the comfort...

The customer service is pleasant and kind. I asked for a PS3 in my room and it came right away and the technician was quick and very helpful. The view from the roof was incredible which had an all around view of Manhattan and highlighted the beautiful lights of the Empire State and also the liberty tower! Would come back...

Staying south of Houston Street opens new experiences for a traveler: restaurants are more affordable and full of surprises, shops don't have designer labels but offer items you've never seen anywhere else, and you get a glimpse into the young, hip, diverse scene in New York City. The Nolitan is the perfect boutique hotel to stay: small, spare rooms with...

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
