It was great for our needs and better than expected. The location was on point, as our activities were mostly on this end of Manhattan. Check in is done at a kiosk in the lobby and you text staff if you have questions or needs during your stay. While other reviewers were put off by this, I liked it. I texted the front desk a few times and got quick responses. There were people at the front desk, too, and they were very friendly. Our room was a queen bed and a pull out sofa. The sofa bed was lumpy, but my kid didn’t mind. My other kid packed a sleeping bag and there was plenty of room to make a pallet on the floor. One of the reasons I booked this room over others was the square footage. This was the largest room I’ve stayed in in NYC. It also had two closets, two TVs, a fridge, and a microwave. The view from our corner room overlooked the Memorial Pools. We drove in, so I called ahead to ask about parking. The person at the front desk told me about a couple of options and gave pricing. We chose LAZ Battery Parking garage. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar at this time, but there were many places that were very close. We wanted a quick breakfast and grabbed something at Cafe Bravo around the corner, a couple of mornings. Their breakfast sandwiches were really good. The 20th floor terraces are a great place to relax and enjoy the view. The wallpaper was peeling at the seems in a few places, but the room was clean. There were also water filling stations on each floor. I’d stay here again.…
The location was excellently, staf was nice, elevators are fast and you have tap water at every floor. Al 20th floor you have a great view but the bar is close there ( you must come with your drink). The metro is near.
Our room was spacious based on a NYC standard and quiet. Staff was friendly, and check-in and check-out was easy. Our bathroom had some long hairs on the floor, so that's the only reason for the four-star, not five-star rating. I would stay here again, and I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.
if you love downtown ,and do not mind traveling uptown ,this is a great place to stay!!! easy access to any subway station excellent views from the upper viewing decks.a lot of nice restaurants near by.
We were quite pleased with the amount of space, comfort and quiet room. Compared to other hotels in NYC it outshines all we have stayed in. The staff were efficient and knowledgeable. Having access to chilled water bottles was excellent.
My room was a sweat box with no way to control the ventilation or temperature. I was told hotel staff needed to make the temperature adjustment. After over 30 minutes, someone finally arrived to tell us that the AC was inoperable and no other rooms were available. They said that they would send me a fan. After four additional calls and over another half hour, they sent up a heater! At this point I decided to shower to cool off-- only to discover I had two conditioners, no shampoo, and a drain that did not work properly. I have spent over 48 hours trying to connect with Kevin Chen, the manager with the authority to issue me a refund. I have left messages with staff and on his voice mail (multiple) to no avail. The evening staff and the day staff (Sam) both agreed that the only way to right this situation was to issue me a refund, but that needs to come from Kevin Chen--- who has not connected with me. I also explained my situation in a text to an automated customer service text (212-577-1133). The automated text said it would like to resolve this; however, I have not heard from them again. Is this a service industry?! Not only did I have a horrific experience with my stay, the customer service has been equally deplorable.…
We arrived the Club Quarter Hotel in WTC Manhattan. Our experience has been delightful. We were attended by Marsha Ann who checked us in, but also took her time to pamper us. She excelled in hospitality.
An absolutely beautiful hotel, with outstanding staff, beautiful rooms right in the heart of the financial center Close to the wonderful brookside mall with stunning views across the Hudson river to new Jersey. We have recently returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We had a wonderful time in New York but were somewhat disappointed by our experience at this hotel. It's location is great. It's in a really quiet area very close to World Trade Center and within walking distance of the Statue of Liberty. The hotel itself is modern and the facilities are good. We were mainly disappointed by the service received overall. After 15 hours or so of travelling through time zones we arrived to check in at around 5.00 pm (check in was 3.00pm). I could sense something was wrong as things seemed to be taking too long. It became apparent that rooms weren't ready. The hotel was 'at capacity' which confused me as surely we were part of this capacity? The receptionist suggested an hour wait which was totally unacceptable. After a discussion or two a room was found and we ended up waiting for around 15 minutes. During this time, and over the next day or so I witnessed many guests have the same issue and I'm pretty certain we didn't get the room we'd booked. Also, I've been to many city hotels so I'm aware that house keeping isn't always a given. But at this hotel you literally have to take your own 'trash' out and request clean towels or extra toilet roll (bit embarrassing). The hotel seems to suggest texting these requests? Confusing. Anyway, I had to ask reception 3 times for toilet roll and towels before I got any. I found little things like this and running out of coffee really annoying as life in New York is so fast paced. I expected better. Overall, we had a good stay and things could've been worse I guess. My advice would be to stay if you get a good price. …
