This is my first time in NYC and I wanted to rent an apartment and did a lot of research or so I thought. I found an apartment through Shilan Inc. The photos on the website made the place look really nice but when we arrived the entrance into the apartment smelt like someone had died and been buried under...

Yes the hand rail is loose and the place is much smaller than it looks in the pictures which I was expecting. There are 3 of us so a hotel would have cost lots more. It has a central location down the road from the theaters which is great. No there is no fire escape. There are many heaters so...

We stayed at this apartment in Nov and it was god damn awful There are no lifts upto the apartments, the hand rails on the stairs are loose and very shakey . the apartment itself was small and dingy . The worse thing of all was how cold the apartment all we had was one small electric heater which kept cutting...

We stayed in 336 West 46th Street. This whole building is a fire hazard and should be shut down. Exposed wires everywhere, no covers on outlets, air conditioning still in window (this is November), windows did not lock and there are no fire escapes. Heat was electric space heaters. If there were a fire anywhere in this building there is...

This place was dingy and decrepit and depressing. It was drafty with use of space heaters for heat. There were loose wires and cords throughout making it an electrical fire hazard. Needs we're not met when toilet paper, towels pillows were requested. Linens and towels were stained and dirty appearing. Railings on stairs were about to fall off. Linda F.

Having rented West 46th St Apartment for 5 nights in Sept 2014, there were multiple challenges but it actually worked out rather well. Pictures on do not represent the apartment we ended up with. Very difficult to talk with off site manager as he was hard to understand, never answered his phone (but always called back within 2 hrs). We...

After a series of delays on booking we decided to book West 46th Street Appointments and in our haste we neglected to look at the reviews If we'd have gone off reviews alone we wouldn't have booked these appointments, but while it is far from perfect the reality isn't as bad as the 1* and 2* reviewers make out PROS...

To be honest the apartment was a little dingy, having said that my family and I stayed there for a week in apartment 3R there were a few issues that were resolved quite quickly but did take us nagging at staff to get issues sorted. we did request an extra heater which was provided and the apartment felt very cosy,...

Biggest mistake of my life ever staying here. It was expensive, and I did not feel at all safe. I moved out early. The manager was off site, and unhelpful. Locks on the front doors don't work, large gap under the doors meant the apartment was like an ice box. The window on the lower level had been broken, and...

I paid 2400 USD for 6 nights, which was the same price as a good hotel. The description says 51 sq meters surface, but it's at most 30 sq meters. Look at the pictures and take your own conclusions. Appartment filthy, chairs stained, painting peeling off, bed sheets dirty and stained, sofa broken. Filthy building. orst of wall, large gap...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
