The hotel staff are polite and helpful. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. We slept very well. The lifts are usually busy around breakfast time. Breakfast is very basic with disposal plates and cutlery. The gym was good and open 24/7.

Really disappointing experience overall. The water pump in the room buzzed so loudly it made it difficult to sleep. I called down to have it looked at while we were out for the day, and nothing was done to fix it. When it remained a problem the second night, the engineer came up and said "it's been a problem for a long time" and the only option to stop the buzzing was to shut off electricity to the room and move us. We had a connecting room with our kids, and it was already midnight, so I just put headphones in and listened to white noise to drown out the sound of the busted water pump and fall asleep. The most basic thing I expect in a hotel room is a good night's sleep. This hotel failed to offer that. When we checked out, the front desk gave us the wrong parking validation, leaving us with an extra $100 charge. In order to fix it, they asked my wife to leave our kids in the lobby and run several blocks over to the parking garage to meet me with the new validation, rather than having a staff member bring it over. It's a real shame because the location is great and so was the view from the room. Unfortunately, neither of those would make up for the disappointing experience.

Comfortable, modern facility. Absolutely immaculate. Friendly staff. Good location, especially for people who arrive in NYC at Penn Station. The room was small, but fine for one person -might be a little tight for a couple. It contained a small fridge and microwave. Soundproofing is excellent, no noise f/ traffic on the street. Delighted that the window opens! Excellent security: two strong locks on doors; must use key to access your floor f/ the elevator. The breakfast is more than adequate and the people-watching is tremendous fun. For NYC it is an excellent value. One minor complaint: elevators are inadequate - need to wait a long time; sometimes it's necessary to ride up, then ride down to avoid overcrowding.

Convienent location and very comfortable bed. Everything else is pretty basic. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. The staff are friendly. The elevator situation is horrible during breakfast. I don’t understand the point of mobile keys if you can’t use it to access your floor on the elevator.

Marriott staff steals items from their guest. Do not bring anything valuable. If you bring up concerns about staff stealing to the front desk, you will be dismissed. The front desk was not concerned about things being stolen by staff and made it seem like it was an expected occurrence. Additionally, the breakfast staff is very rude, and the breakfast area is very unhygienic.

I love this hotel for the convenience, close to MSG and Penn Station, and the nice breakfast in the morning. The rooms are OK along with the space for 2 people. I have been here 2X and the elevators are always a problem especially in the morning for breakfast; even when all are in working order which they were not this weekend. THey need to improve the elevator service or I will not be back. Also, the personnel at the front desk are professional and very accommodating. They should be commended for handling crowds and making sure everyone is taken care of in a timely manner.

stayed here in early January. The location is great (as in most big cities there are some weird places nearby but nothing to be worried about), the price was fair and it includes breakfast, which is a major timesaver. Breakfast was just ok, always scrambled eggs (they looked reconstituted but not sure), hot beverages, juices, bagels, muffins...nothing special but quite practical. the hotel looks new or newly remodeled and the pictures look exactly like the real thing. Beware, however, the rooms are quite small. In my case there were 2 queen beds separated by a nightstand and a small desk in front with a chair, a minuscule wardrobe and minifridge. There were 3 of us and the fit felt tight. Quite clean, even though housekeeping didn't come in every day. Worth the price, will definitely stay here agin.

Checked into room 1601 around 9 pm after a long flight. The problems were as follows 1. Long waits for the elevator but this appears to be a common complaint 2. Pizza boxes and other trash thrown out of rooms into the hallways 3. Room 1601 was an extremely small corner room with a consistent knocking in the walls. I assume it was next to elevator shaft 4. I paid for and booked a king size bed. The bed was obviously a queen 5. When I contacted the front desk (very nice staff) they were fully aware of the problems of this room and offered to Bring up new keys for a room on the 20th floor 6. 30 min goes by no room keys. So I proceeded to go downstairs myself where the new keys were provided. 7. Ran into the maintenance guy going back up to room and he was fully aware of what was making the noise and asked me if it was the air (something) not sure of the word. This pissed me off even more because if you are aware this room has issues why would you place guests in this room 8. Relocated to the new room with much better spacing and no noises. This hotel has been kept looking good on the exterior and modern but it can do with some maintenance work hence why I dub it lipstick on a pig. Definitely won't stay here again on my next visit to NYC

First, everything is as you would expect in a Fairfield Inn. Beware if you are on a mid level floor the wait for an elevator with space for you can be 20+ minutes. We finally grabbed a spot on an elevator going up to go down. So plan accordingly if you need to get to an appointment, hop a train, catch a flight, or pretty much do anything.
