This was a great place to stay when visiting New York. The subway stops are right outside the hotel, there are restaurants close by within walking distance, and a few convenience stores as well. The beds are super comfortable and our room was very clean. Having breakfast service included with our stay was handy, and we were treated to a few hot items such as quiches and scones. Our room had the standard amenities: coffee maker, a safe, hair dryer, etc. It was nicely appointed. Our front desk person, Crisledy, was a treasure. So helpful with maps and directions. The only real negative was the elevators were terribly slow and there was no dresser in the room to put any clothes away - and we were only able to get one suitcase stand. Overall it was a really good hotel and of course close to the WTC and the Staten Island ferry.…
This location is walking distance, literally 2 blocks from several landmarks that tourists want to visit, i.e. Battery Park (for ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island), World Trade Center, and Wall Street. Also, 2 subway stations very near. Staff extremely helpful. Rooms small due to high-rise building, but so clean and neat with al amenities needed. Will recommend and definitely stay again.
COVID is a good excuse to avoid to pay a daily housekeeper! If you want to have your room cleaned up, you must wait the third day of your stay. That’s incredibly unfair and unprofessional, but what one can do in a country where there is no control on the quality of what the hotels offer ? In NY there is always a huge amount of tourists and people who travels for business like me, so hotels will always find customers, no matter how bad they are. Breakfast: terrible! Only American coffee, no croissants, no artisan bread. Rooms are dirties and cold. Heating is old and noisy but if you don’t want to catch a cold or get sick, you must sleep - or try to sleep - with a noisy heating turned on. A lot of people take the lifts without wearing any mask. Even if it’s no longer compulsory, it should be the logic and the sense of responsibility to impose people to wear a mask when they take the lifts at least. The Hotel staff doesn’t say anything.…
This is a great hotel in a great location. Front desk staff were always friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless upon arrival. There are lots of dining options close by. The hotel is closer to Brooklyn than most Manhattan hotels if you need to get there. Overall, an awesome stay!
Just wanted to give a review on this hotel. I stay in NY a lot and I am in the travel business and like to leave a review when possible. My stay here was very good. The property is located in a great areas with lots or food and entertainment within an easy walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ONLY real down fall is the room was a bit small but very clean and well taken care of. I will be staying here again.
