Smart and tight, located amidst the Financial District and close to New York’s oldest famous attractions. I particuary loved the fact that wáter (East and Hudson Rivers) is five minutes walk in half of all the possible directions. Sort of discreet site in one the busiest areas of the world -in daylight. You can expect a pleasant time here, perhaps...

Gild Hall is a lovely hotel with a great staff. It's charm is in the details. Our room felt like an old library, very masculine. The area is close to the freedom Towers, ferries to Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty and the 9/11 Memorial. We took advantage of these attractions but found that we were far from most other...

This is my second stay at Gild Hall. The hotel is in a great location, close to several subway lines and easy to get anywhere in the City. After a long day of lots of activity and noise in the City, it was always nice to come back to the quiet, warm atmosphere of Gild Hall. The staff are all...

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. This is in lower Manhattan, so you need to want to stay in this part of the city. Personally I had never stayed in that area before and I loved it. It is quite, the river, ground zero and Brooklyn bridge are very close and the hotel is one block from...

Dear Anny_C17, What a detailed review! Thank you very much for staying with us, and for commenting on our high service standards and the character and size of our rooms. Many of our guests have recently described us as a 'hidden gem' and it's our hide-away location that allows such a quiet night's sleep. We hope that we will see...

This was my second time at Gild Hall. I stayed at the hotel a few months ago for a week and had a great experience, particularly from a customer service standpoint. This time was equally as enjoyable, largely due to exceptional service from front desk associate Jessica. On two occasions, she went above and beyond to provide outstanding service. In...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Aspen meets Wall Street at Gild Hall, Thompson Hotels' Lower Manhattan luxury lifestyle design property. Located on Gold Street in the heart of the financial district with nearby landmarks such as the 9/11 memorial, Freedom Tower, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty, Gild Hall brings a new level of design savvy and service to Manhattan's most historic neighborhood. Designed by Jim Walrod, the unpretentious yet luxurious hotel offers 126 rooms and suites including meeting space for up to 15 people. Our rooms feature oversize leather-tufted headboards and elegant custom-designed furniture, topped with rich flannel throws and mahogany details, some adorned by dramatic chandeliers. Felice Ristorante & Wine Bar offers authentic Tuscan fare complete with one of the best Italian proprietary wines - bottled from Fattoria Sardi Giustiniani, the owner's vineyard in Lucca. Effortlessly blending classical European sensibility with American contemporary style, Gild Hall serves as a modern-day gentleman's club for the kings and queens of Wall Street. ... more   less
