I have been traveling multiple times to Downtown NY for work and tried numerous hotels in the area. This one is definitely the best one within my price range, so not too expensive. Design is beautiful and all young staff are outstanding, really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the lobby, bar and restaurant is bery nice. Rooms are well sized for NY standard.
Certainly a boutique hotel. From the moment I made a phone call to make a change to my reservation & spoke to Simon I had a good feeling about this property. And once I arrived my good vibes were confirmed. Excellent customer service from the moment I walked in the door. Warm & friendly greeting from Rob, upgraded room, glasses of Prosecco. Clean lobby & very eceltic, immaculate and very spacious rooms, with a large bathroom. Comfy beds, pillows and streaming on the tv. After about 2 hours after check-in I received a follow up call from the front desk inquiring if our room was to our liking & clean. The restaurant & bar delivered delicious food & great drinks. I have never received such a welcoming and warm vibe in all my NYC travels. This will now be my property of choice for ALL future visits. Hats off to the management staff and each employee I interacted with for going above and beyond. It certainly makes a huge impact on my experience as a guest. Thanks so much & keep up the good work!!! Cheers to the bartender who made my lemon drop 🍸 Martini rimmed in brown & white sugar, it was the BEST!…
I was overall very pleased with my stay at the Gild Hall. The service was very warm and enthusiastic, and the rooms were clean. The vibe in the lobby was sophisticated and welcoming. It is a hidden gem and I don’t think I would even have known it existed until it showed up as an option in my Hyatt app. The value for the hotel was excellent, much better than the other large hotel chains. I love the use of Milton Brown products in the bathroom!
I have been staying at the Guild Hall for over a decade. I love the hotel's personality and the vibe of the decor. The staff are amiable and always offer assistance. The location is near all of the attractions in lower manhattan, including the Brooklyn Bridge, South Street Seaport, 911 Memorial, WTC, Eataly, and NYC ferries. Daniel Boulud's new restaurant La Gratin is five blocks away in the Beakman Hotel. This location is tranquil on the weekends.
The hotel is a little hidden on a side street, but that's what makes it great. There is plenty to do in the area, including a great quick breakfast spot on the opposite corner. The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean. What makes this hotel so good is the staff. They're some of the nicest, most courteous people we've come across in NYC, and we visit the city a lot, staying at different hotels. Great vibe in the hotel, too. We brought our 2 little kids, and they enjoyed it.
My husband and I stayed here for one night while we had business to tend to in the city. Hotel was easy to find and within walking distance of many things in Lower Manhattan. Wifi worked well enough to do video meetings. Room was clean and quiet. One of the best nights sleep I’ve gotten in a hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer!
This is definitely my go to hotel from now on when I am in town. I'd like to commend all the clerks, especially ROB!! for his hospitality, kindness and professionalism. I have never experienced the kind of treatment as a guest in all the years staying in multiple hotels throughout the years. The housekeepers were ever so nice as well as the restaurant staff. Great food, exceptionally clean rooms and above all....location location location!
Staff is great. Rooms and design are fun. Hotel rooms don’t have the best light, but that is not uncommon in NY FiDi. Good value for neighborhood and the bar is excellent although could do better on beer selection.
This is a beautiful mid-sized hotel tucked away in a quiet street but just steps away from Wall Street and the main tourist attractions in South Manhattan. The super-friendly staff went out of their way in both being welcoming and helpful when I explained that my suitcase had gone missing in transit (it eventually arrived two days later). The twin room on the 11th floor was modern and comfortable and the complementary breakfast in the adjoining Italian restaurant was superb. Would highly recommend.
My friend strongly recommended this hotel for a two night visit to Manhattan. Excellent quality and very clean. Exceptional service and location was very close to subway station. Would definitely stay here again.
