We stayed here for 5 nights and it's the worst hotel I have ever stayed in . The rooms are tiny, the carpet is filthy , there are stains on the bedding , the windows are so bad it's like sleeping outside and don't even ask about the bathroom it's so small and in a terrible state of repair ,...

Great hotel.....10 minute walk (max) from Times Square and Empire State Building. Big Red Bus tours operate a stop just outside the hotel. 5 minute walk from the Majestic theatre to see Phantom of the Opera. Advisable to book tickets directly with the theatre. Concierge at the hotel, Tony, could not be more helpful. Rooms are clean.

Was in New York City Sept 15-18th 2014 and stayed at the New Yorker Hotel. Although we booked queen size bed - it was clearly a double. The rooms are efficient, nicely decorated and great location. As we were leaving the city to return home there was a demonstration about 'bed bugs' - we did not see any at all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Please be advised that the demonstration taking place outside of the hotel was regarding work being done in the non-hotel part of the building. We are unaware as to why the phrase was being used however this...

The sound of Niagra Falls on the 33rd floor. It was urination against our door. During our first night's stay, I was horrifically awakened by commotion at the room's entry door. I opened my eyes to the sight of an undressed man forcefully prying open the door. Only the top chain/lock was keeping him out. He was repeatedly yelling to...

The New Yorker was perfect for my weekend getaway to New York City. The room had multiple "rooms," but was perfect for what we needed. The room had a small bathroom but an amazing balcony with views of the city. The hotel is near everything. You see the Empire State Building just a short walk away and Times Square is...

Very pleased with our stay. In town for a show at Madison Square Garden, couldn't be happier with location/proximity of hotel. Thanks to TripAdvisor comments, requested an "upgraded" room upon check in, which was promptly accommodated (not sure why they wouldn't guarantee guests' satisfaction and assign upgraded rooms right off the bat when obviously available??) Pleased with room on 7th...

Our favorite place to stay in New York . Why? Because the location at 8 th and 34 th make it ideal for Macy's , Times Square , Restaurant Row and so much more. Even the parking at $40 is cheaper than surrounding parking lots at $54 , and after a 6 hour drive from Montreal this was most convenient....

Stayed for 4 nights in Sept - thank you Anneka on the front desk for your excellent service! Very clean, great location, great views. Easy to get to from JFK via the airtrain to Jamaica St/Ave and then on to the Penn Station train next to Madison Square Garden. Highly recommend.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
