If you're considering the Americana Inn, you're probably noticing the good location and low price. It's a simple trade-off; skip the luxuries of a nice hotel and pay for location instead. Quick notes:
+Good location if you want something by Times Square
Yes, this is a budget hotel.. but don’t let that scare you off! It is centrally located if you are doing a lot of activities in Times Square and surrounding areas like we were. It was just a 10-15 minute walk to anything we wanted...More
First off I'll be honest, I hadn't realised this hotel has a shared bathroom when booking and I even tried to cancel when I found out, however as it was non-refundable so I was stuck with it! I wasn't keen on the idea and I...More
Reasonably priced, ideally located, small comfortable rooms, clean (shared) bathrooms, friendly staff. Ideal no-frills spot to lay your head at the end of a day sight seeing. I'll definitely be back again!!

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Dead easy walk, especially if your bag is on wheels. Its about fifteen mins to walk. Go east on 34th street - towards the Empire State building. Turn left on 6thAve, the Avenue of the Americas but cross that Avenue first. Turn left again to 38th street and the Inn is just down to your right, on the north side of the street, ie, cross 38th before you turn right. You cant miss it. No point in getting a taxi. Enjoy NYC!
