Was upgraded to a room with a view of the Empire State Building. Hotel was quiet and room/bed was comfortable. Location was close to Times Square and NY subway. Parking garage was easy to find and we had no problems. Would stay here again.

I stayed here for work and knew that hotel was TOO old as I've dined at the next door korean restaurant several years ago when the hotel was being built. The price isn't too bad for the location. It's midtown and you can get to just about everywhere in Manhattan very easily. It's also right next to metro station 34th...

Continuing education for work, so no side time, but accommodations were flawless, staff superb. Janis, Ryan, George helpful and professional. Nice to have a rock-solid go-to when I come to NY. Great location for the things I like to do, and will return with pleasure.

Thank you Luis for your amazing breakfasts! I travel a lot, so every time I know I'm headed into the city this is my go-to hotel. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are a good size for NYC rooms. Best of all the made-to-order breakfasts are amazing! Luis, the cook, does an amazing job preparing what you'd like, because...

We stayed on the 17th floor and had a lovely view of the Empire State Building. Room was average size for NYC, was clean, and had up-to-date furnishings. Subway entrance is immediately adjacent to the front door which was super convenient. Although our room was directly across from the elevator, we noticed no noise. The air conditioning unit, while wall-controlled,...

Check in experience was great. Staff very helpful in providing a higher floor room. Wasn't aware there were ongoing renovations which we probably should have been advised of. These didn't impact on the stay other than narrowing the room choices. Room small and functional have had larger in NY for a similar cost. We all agreed we would stay again...

Visit was for a wedding, it was a good 2 day visit, typical for NYC small accommodations. We were greeted warmly with delicious warm chocolate chip cookies,(which DoubleTree) is noted for.The hotel was close to venue of wedding, also to eating and museums.

I usually stay in the Times Sq. area but chose this one & I actually loved the location, especially being within a stones throw of Macy's! And lots of other shops around it. My only complaint was that on our Hilton profile, we request rooms away from the elevators and our room was right next door to them! But, the...

The place is small and they don't offer much except water. For 300 a nite you think you would get a free drink. We had the linen cart in front of our door the entire time. The view was good. The a.c. was temperamental just really need to push hard on the buttons

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
