Wow is this neighborhood jumping. And not necessarily in a good way. And the Standard is certainly cock of the walk here, with its rooftop bar/nightclub with gorgeous night time views and swish grillroom. The rooms are smallish but comfortable. The bath seems to be almost in the bedroom and is very large and awfully hard to get in and...

Was booked in here for a business trip and looked forward to a luxurious experience. And its a good hotel, dont get me wrong. But the price you have to pay is just not justified. Small rooms, unspectacular view unless you pay even more, service just okay. Even in NYC youll easily find much better value. Avoid.

Hi there I am so sorry to hear that your expectations were not met on your recent stay at The Standard, High Line. With floor to ceiling windows in every guest room, the river and city views do not typically disappoint. Booked through their new app. Flawless and great experience. Have stayed at the hotel a couple of times and I have always had a memorable experience. This was no exception. Wes made a great impression at the Front Desk, checked us in and made us feel very welcome. Stayed in a deluxe queen on 11th floor and the room was...

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
