No matter what they say no room in the establishment accommodates more than 3 people. I have never been treated so poorly by a business owner. Neither of the ladies have any customer service skills. If this was the only room available in the city I would fly back home before I give any money to these rude, disrespectful and...

It was adorable! I felt comfortable; almost at home there. It was quiet, very clean and quaint. Ramona and Michelle act like family more then hostesses. I came for the Harlem Book Fair. I was equidistant between the Book Fair and Central Park. I liked taking my morning walks there. Lots of places to visit and eat nearby. It was...

This place is a gem. But don't let the mailing address fool you...it is definitely in Harlem. Not Manhattan. So as long as you're ok with that, book this place. The subway stop is maybe two blocks away. It's a 15 minute ride to Times Square! So perfect. So this place is pretty conveniently located. Michelle is fantastic, by the...

This is our favorite place to stay when we visit the City! It almost feels like staying with family - Ramona and Michelle go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, and there are oodles of restaurants and shops in the area to explore - and transportation is convenient if...

We stayed here for a week. Staff arranged airport transportation. The hotel had free wifi but I had troubles getting online. They helped me out, took them an hour and I was about to give up on it but they said "no, you CANT do without internet, we will fix it " and they did. The street was a bit...

My husband visit New York several times each year, and we always stay at the International Cozy Inn. We are always very comfortable, with every convenience. I love walking around the neighborhood, visiting shops and restaurants, admiring the brownstones, and enjoying the park. My favorite hat store (Harlem Hat Heaven) is a long but pleasant walk away. The subway stop...

ICI is a great place to stay! We booked for only a few nights because we didn’t have anywhere else to stay but after one night, we extended for over two weeks. The rooms are efficient, comfortable and well styled. Each room even has a fully functioning kitchenette. The location is pretty good - in East Harlem. Don’t be discouraged...

I have a reservation to stay at the International Cozy Inn next week and I’m really looking forward to it. A friend of mine stayed there recently and gave it an enthusiastic recommendation. He raved about how clean and comfortable the rooms were, and how it looked exactly like the photos on their website. The room he stayed in was...

People do not stay here. First of all, we get there, and our room wasn't even ready. So here we are with all of our bags and they are telling me and my husband to just "walk around." Yah, cause walking around Harlem with out bags when we get into New York was the first thing we wanted to do....

Neighbourhood Profile
Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighbourhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighbourhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks.
