As you'll have learned by now from all the other reviews, the ink48 is not in the centre of town, and a little bit away from the subway. Don't let this put you off. You can walk to midtown or central park in 15 - 20 mins, where you can connect with the subway, and there are some local gems... More

Nice place with all of the hip touches you expect from a Kimpton property. The neighborhood is a bit industrial but if you dont care about that this is a great place to go. Erica even gave me a free bottle of wine for my birthday!

If you want something away from the crowds and with killer rooftop cocktails, here's the place. This was our first hotel experience in NYC and kicked off our honey moon in style. We paid a bit more and got a high floor, city scape view which was brilliant at night. If you want to save your $ then go for... More

We had an awesome visit to Ink48 on our recent NYC trip. Everyone there was VERY nice and helpful Andres at the front desk was a TREASURE!!! We felt very welcome here and loved our room. The view was outstanding! It was hard to stop staring at it each night when it was time for some sleep! Loved the double... More

As others have noted, there's really nothing within a few blocks of the hotel...but certainly within walking distance to Hell's Kitchen, Central Park, Theater District and more. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and helpful with any and all questions. The rooftop bar was closed for private events both nights we were here. We were really excited to try... More

I've been at INK48 for one week and I had a good experience. The hotel is modern and I got a good offer on internet. The room were big enough and clean. I suggest this hotel to people that know already NYC and that would like to stay in a not turistic zone of the City. The Subway is not... More

Our family of four had a great stay at this hotel. We loved being able to walk to great restaurants, the theater district and Times Square. The room was clean and the staff helpful. We had no trouble getting cabs. The rooftop bar had excellent vistas.

We have made a habit of staying at Ink48 when we come to the city for a theater night. The hotel is about a mile from both Central Park and the theater district so the location is good (though the immediately surrounding area is nothing exciting). Ink48 is exactly what a boutique hotel should be: chic, intimate, sophisticated, beautiful, impeccably... More

I stayed last Friday evening for a belated birthday. I received a bottle of sparkling wine in the room and I was upgraded to the 17th floor. I had a gorgeous city view with high ceilings and full windows. I also got a chance to "spin the wheel" at the front desk as a Kimpton In Touch member and won... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
